Il Piatto is the modern expression of the classic Italian cuisine. Enjoy a selection of antipasto, pastas, gnocchi, and more!

Our private dining package seats 35 guests or holds a reception for 50 guests. With a view of the wine cellar, our Italian restaurant is perfect for all kinds of events.

Il Piatto is open for lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour.
*Please note, we serve brunch on holiday Mondays and the 4th of July*

    The food was amazing and we were glad to have stumbled upon this gem in D.C. The Arancini was pure perfection in the tomato-cream sauce. We both had the Pappardelle Bolognese that was equally amazing. We will be back when in town again.

    I came to il Piatto for my birthday and the food and service were all excellent. I especially loved the arancini and the panna cotta. I would definitely recommend this place and come again.

    The food was overall pretty good but the service was poor. We seemed to have several different servers but they rarely checked in on us and both dessert and additional drinks never came to fruition.

    Authentic Italian food, full of amazing flavor. Loved the service and atmosphere. Highly recommend if you have something special to celebrate or just looking for a great meal

    The food was pretty good, when it finally came. A long wait and the they brought me the wrong dish, so I had to wait some more. Staff seemed very stressed. There were lots of staff running around in the dining room, but not too many actual waiters. At one point I looked outside and there were four staff persons standing and talking. I’ve worked in restaurants and this one was not well managed.
