The famous Puerto Rican cuisine restaurant reopened fully renovated. Iguanas Cocina Puertorriqueña, now features an open-view demonstration kitchen and seating for up to 104 guests. Overlooking the El Yunque National Forest and the River Course, is a family-friendly venue, known for its authentic Puerto Rican cuisine favorites and spectacular scenery. Located on the Rio Mar Clubhouse’s second floor. This new restaurant offers handcrafted cocktails, artisanal beers and light bites at Iguanas Bar. The mind behind this well known restaurant, Chef Jorge Cátala with over 15 years of experience makes sure to bring the highest quality products, including fresh lobsters & fish from local fisherman’s. Also, his love to the local agriculture brings to the table the freshest and finest dishes including organic chicken, cage free eggs, hydroponic greens, among others. Amazing Puerto Rican Flavors in a Beautiful Setting We dined at Iguanas Cocina Puertorriqueña at the Wyndham Rio Mar Golf Club and had an exceptional experience. The meal began with a sampler of traditional Puerto Rican frituras, including pionono, which gave us a perfect taste of local flavors. For our main courses, we enjoyed the filet mignon, salmon, and churrasco, each served with sides that elevated the dishes. The mamposteado and mofongo de yuca with churrasco were flavorful highlights, bringing a delicious Puerto Rican touch. The wine and Prosecco complemented the meal wonderfully. The ambiance at Iguanas was beautiful, adding to the experience with its upscale, tropical vibe. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Puerto Rican cuisine with a gourmet twist!

We made a reservation here for last night because the rest of our trip is Monday- Wednesday, which is when they are closed. We walked from the Margaritaville Resort, but they also offer a shuttle. The ambiance was incredible, and we got some amazing photos of the landscape. They brought us over champagne for free as it is our honeymoon, but neither of us drink, so we just asked for nonalcoholic drinks. The food was good, I just wish they served entrees with a side. I’d go back! Very friendly people.

Prajerio was an amazing server. Very attentive to detail, always on the lookout to provide assistance. While we were close to the closing time, he still offered another bottle or dessert. If you visit, ask for Prajerio to be the server, you will not regret it.

Our server, Pedro, and the other servers were amazing. Helped us decide on our meal and checked on us throughout the evening. The food was delicious, presentation was amazing. Top notch.

We chose to have our birthday dinner here and the food was AMAZING. Great portion sizes and beautifully decorated. Our server was very attentive and even offered free dessert for our birthday. We chose to dine outside and the view of the rainforest was breathtaking.

La comida siempre es buena pero esta vez no nos encantó el churrasco. No estaba malo pero siento que está por debajo de la acostumbrada calidad de sus platos y que tampoco vale el precio que tiene. La atención como siempre, excelente.
