Ida Claire is a funky, southern influenced restaurant & bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is notched up southern but has influences from different regions. You’ll most likely see dishes you’ve heard of before but with little twists here and there.

Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.

The hostess was very nice and polite. Didn’t have to wait to be seated. Our waiter was so friendly and explained the different food options. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Our dinner at Ida Claire was hands down the best meal we had in San Antonio during a recent visit. My husband had the pork hop and I had the ribs, both were absolutely delicious. We had the biscuits and the hot cauliflower for starters. The bacon gravy that comes with the biscuits is so good, and I could eat the cauliflower like popcorn. Don’t miss out Ida Claire’s, you won’t regret it.

Elaina O was our server and sue was spectacular! She was super sweet, very attentive, and has a beautiful vibe about her. I’d go back just to get to experience her incredible service again!!! The food is good. Really different flavors. The place has a wonderfully cool vibe. I highly recommend you try Ida Claire. It’s a marvelous experience.

Bugs were crazy bad outside and they ended up biting me and in my food. Don’t recommend sitting outside!

Service was very slow and food was only okay. Very greasy with lots of grease left in the bottom of serving dishes.

Martha B. Was our server. She was amazing always available but not hovering. We asked for something that was not on the brunch menu and she made it happen. Highly recommend!

Little loud, but food and service amazing. First time there so was not sure that to expect - well worth the drive!!

A few sorority sisters and I visited for lunch, and for the most part we were extremely happy with the food and the service. Joe V was our server. He is fantastic!! Love him! Friendly, professional, efficient, engaging, and knowledgeable. He suggested the Redfish on orzo topped with lobster. I pray you NEVER get rid of this dish. Two of us ordered it, and we cleaned our plates. It was delicious! Thank you so much! We'll be back.

If you go after the lunch rush, you may be subjected to being served post lunch rush food😟 soup was lukewarm at best, biscuits, cold, definitely not fresh baked, a bit hard, especially after waiting for twenty minutes to have them brought to the table, but they did taste good... just not warm. Service was great, kept beverages flowing while waiting for our food. It's been some time since our last visit, and it may be a while before we visit again.
