We're proud to sit alongside some of Newtown's best vegan and vegetarian restaurants, changing the flavour game for Sydney's plant-based restaurant scene. Our signature souvlaki dishes feature proteins made from wheat, soy, and mushroom marinated for 60-hours, delivering that irresistible "meaty" flavour you've been craving. 100% Yia Yia approved!

This is not your typical plant-based fare. Our menu is packed with mouth-watering flavour. Expect satiating sauces, robust herbal notes and bold accents all beautifully presented by our incredible team in our cosy and comfortable venue, with a dash of pink neon for good measure!

An excellent vegan dining experience. We had the chick'n souvlaki which was so fresh and delicious. Will get the cheesecake next time!

Everything tasted amazing!!! My meat eating husband was very Impressed. Happy hours with 2 for 1 cocktails was a pleasant bonus.

I should be souvlaki is always a fantastic choice. Their food is delicious and the staff are extremely kind and friendly. It's my go to whenever I'm in Newtown

Heard about this vegan outlet through socials and was so glad to have made a booking there. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The salt and pepper squid was the highlight. Pity we didn't have room for the cheesecake. Will have to come back for that next time!

The actual food and cocktails were really good. Unfortunately the service was really lacking. We were there for several hours and it was because the service was slow. We had the 3 course menu and that included one starter to share between three people and weren’t given seperate plates and were expected to eat off the same plate. Which is odd. Cocktail took a long time to arrive and there was a huge gap between the starter and main course. The Sharing menu is min two people and it possibly works well for two but after what was actually provided, I don’t see how this is value for money over ordering each item on this menu separately if you are a three instead of a two

It’s always a pleasure to dine at I Should Be Souvlaki! It’s such a great experience to be able to choose anything from the menu as a vegan and my non vegan friends and family have also requested to go there again as they loved it too!
