Il suffit de mettre un pied dans le confortable établissement pour réaliser à quel point le restaurant Hy's respecte la tradition. Les murs polis en acajou, le bar à cocktails, les meubles en bois massif et les œuvres d'art ont été maintenus avec amour depuis que le restaurant s'est installé en 1962. Le menu reste inchangé, à quelques exceptions près, et propose le meilleur du bœuf de qualité canadien et des fruits de mer, sans oublier le sublime toast au fromage du Hy's.

Excellent service and quality of food. The aisle going towards our table was a bit dark so it was difficult to see our way without tripping.

We love Hy’s but I have to say the prices are no longer aligned with the quality of the food and over all experience. My bill was well over $500 for 4 people only 2 of us had drinks. My wife and I didn’t even have steaks.

My husband and celebrated his birthday, I surprised him with Hy’s ad we’d never been. Our server was fantastic. Awesome atmosphere. Caesar Salad was incredible but a little too small to share. We split the New York steak and with the potato’s and asparagus, and of course the famous cheese bread…. A must have. Enjoyed this restaurant

We visited HYs last night for the very 1st time to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. My Husband got the Steak & Lobster while I was recommended the Chicken as I was undecided btwn 2 options. We both really enjoyed the lobster which I normally don't even eat. We thought the chicken and steak were very basic as we didn't order any additional sides assuming it would be too much food. Lesson learned because we definitely needed a more flavorful side to pair. Our server Alysia was so so amazing. Thank you again!

Disappointed with the steak. It was grizzly and I didn’t send it back. The others dining with me had an unappealing dinner of chicken and tuna served to them. Cesare salad was disappointing as well. The waiter was attentive.

Richard was possibly the worst server ever. My wife and I ordered the beef Wellington and asked that the sauce be put on the side. It was served on the bed of sauce. When asked about it, he said he would replate it. I told him I wanted a new one since it was sitting in the sauce. Our friends ordered a strip au poivre and said they would split it at the table rather than having the kitchen split it. It came out split and Richard did not offer to replace it. The final straw was the inclusion of a $225 wine bottle on the bill that we never ordered.

Hy's is our favourite restaurant in Vancouver and never disappoints. Casesar Salad and Cheese Toast are an absolute must.
