Le Hy's Steak House - Calgary est le petit dernier des restaurants raffinés, le premier Steakhouses du Canada depuis 1955. Cet établissement affiche une décoration moderne avec des lignes épurées et des textures de cuir, de velours, de bois et de pierres, revisitant ainsi le steakhouse classique. Il est également dotée d'une rôtisserie vitrée circulaire permettant de griller des steaks canadiens de qualité sur du charbon de bois. Le bar en forme de fer à cheval est entouré de différents types de coins salon et repas à la fois spacieux et intimes. Le menu propose des recettes classiques et nouvelles. Les spécialités de l'établissement, comme la célèbre salade César et le steak Diane, sont toujours préparés à côté de votre table.     It was a great night out with friends from out of province. Ordered as many on cooking in dining room options as possible and it was a very pleasant experience. Every menu item we ordered as delicious and the ambiance throughout the evening was consistently warm and quiet.

    We have eaten at every steakhouse imaginable through most of North America and Calgary has some of the finest dining facilities available. Hy’s is at the top of that list. We absolutely love how it is laid out inside the friendliness of the staff the decor. The whole dining experience is incredible especially when you’re out for an evening or an event. Due to the costs of eating out and most everything you purchase today it’s nice to know that you got value behind the food that you order. We had an extremely good dining experience. The staff legitimately care that you have chose to spend your time and money with them, and I love that the restaurant has such a due to the costs of eating out and most everything you purchase today it’s nice to know that you got value behind the food that you order.     Food was really good but the plating was quite lacking. There wasn’t much presentation to it and for quite a higher end restaurant, I expected a bit more on that area as well.

    Had a fantastic meal to end 2024 at Hy's Steakhouse. Dino, our server was very knowledgeable & attentive. Food came in a timely manner and was delicious & cooked to perfection! We got the cheese toast to start which was extremely warm and gooey. I got the tuscan pasta and my friend had the side pasta(cacio e pepe) & we split a 10oz new york strip to add to our pastas. The steak was cooked to perfection and complimented the pastas extremely well. Our other friends got the pork chop dinner with mashed potato and the fish selection of the day which was a Cod dish with cheese risotto & both had nothing but good things to say about it! The friend who ordered the fish plate asked Dino to choose a good wine pairing for his meal and he brought out a personal favourite of his and was able to explain the notes of the wine, where it was from & how it will compliment the dish without even looking at the bottle! We finished our dinner with the salted caramel creme brûlée & honestly could've licked the plates clean, it was phenomenal. I will definitely be returning to Hy's in the future. We were sat in the dining room, near the back of the establishment beside the kitchen & the only "noise" was just the hustle of the kitchen as they put out these incredible meals, other table chatter and faint music from the lounge, a nice atmosphere for conversation.

    Delicious dinner with family. Food was well executed and delicious, presented simply in a classic steak house style. John was an excellent server filling in for wine recommendations and helping us pick stuff for the table. Definitely a special occasion venue with its grand spaces and large dining areas. Very comfortable for a long 2+ hour dinner.

    Not our First time at Hy's... But what made it remarkably special was being served by Dino. Truly a kind and wonderful professional server.. Witty and on point.. Dino made up the tastiest Caesar salad we've ever had, the second tastiest was when we dined there a couple years ago. Dino made that one too.. Beef steak Tartar was very tasty too.. As was the shared Porterhouse and the shared Rib-, Eye both done to medium rare perfection.. Sides were very tasty too... The Room, the excellent food and musical ambience was fantastic.. But what really anchored it was the top notch attentive service by Dino.. Thanks Dino, and your manager who Dino brought over to meet us and of course the rest of the Hy's team...
