Situé au 33e étage du Shard, le Hutong propose les cuisines diversifiées et fascinantes de la Chine Septentrionale. Fondé à partir du célèbre restaurant du même nom à Hong Kong, le Hutong vous fera découvrir des plats servis dans les palais impériaux du Pékin d'antan. Basé sur la cuisine de l'école Lu de la province de Shandong, le menu reproduit la subtilité et les surprises de la cuisine chinoise du nord. Hutong at The Shard’s cuisine takes its inspiration from the dishes served in the imperial palaces of what was then Peking. Based on the ‘Lu school’ cuisine of Shandong Province, and with use of Sichuan fiery spices and peppers, Hutong at The Shard’s event menus artfully capture the subtlety and surprises of Northern Chinese cooking. The set menus available in Hutong at The Shard are based on a sharing concept of dishes, that will be continually brought to the table over the course of your meal. There are also a range of canapés & bowl food available for exclusive receptions.

Terrible experience all round. Called a couple of days ahead and before booking to ask if I could get the lunch set menu at a 330pm booking. No times were stated on the menu online. I was expressly told I could. I was even given attitude by the man on the phone when double checking. On the day right before my booking I receive a call to say that they don’t offer the set menu at 330pm. I told them the situation. They then said ok speak to the person at the restaurant. When I got there the person at the reception was cold and said they were aware about the conversation. After that the service and attitude we got was disgusting. Just rude and reluctant. They served us the set menu but we were rushed for every course. There were no smiles or greetings and lots of rude attitude. Would definitely not return there and regret paying the service fee. Only 1-2 of the waiters out of 10 people we interacted with at the restaurant were pleasant. Don’t recommend this place. Not glassy and definitely not worth the price tag to be treated that way. Don’t offer booking times at 330 if you’re in a rush to close your kitchen. The portions of the food were very small and sub par. I eat out in London a lot and this was just crap. Will definitely not recommend again and will visit Ting next time. Looks classier just on first glance. Warning to everyone, don’t waste your money here.

We chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. This was the first time dining at your restaurant within the Shard and from the point of entry to when we left, we experienced an exceptional service. Several members of the team wished the birthday girl “ happy birthday”. We experienced first class attentive service from each member of staff that we encountered and this is without speaking of the high quality food and drink and view that you provide. So I wanted to thank you all for making her dining experience top class, we all had a an amazing time.

If you oblige customers to consume at least £70 per person ONLY on Food, you have to disclose it on your website and this app. I think it is not totally fair to provide this information after guests sit at the table.

I went alone n spent ard £73. High class restaurant, but poor service. They didn’t arrange window seat even they have a lot. Maybe they think I went alone. When you requested, staffs made u felt that you are annoying. Also I used table tripod on the table for selfie, staff stopped me in a rude manner. I never experienced that this is not allowed cuz I went to so many hotels for dinner. If this is their rule, they can tell me politely.

Very good tasting food however the price of dishes is quite expensive considering the portion sizes, the service is good here but it’s very rushed around and it’s of noise however it has honestly the best Chinese food 😄

Probably best experience we’ve had at the shard, considering we’ve been a few times. We were served by twins which was really nice they made our experience extra special. We had a laugh and created more memories.
