Bryan our waiter was outstanding; great service and very personable. Our family comes to HumuHumu most Christmases and we all agreed tonight was our best experience ever. Thanks for the great night!

From the moment we stepped into Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, we were blown away by the ambiance, service, and, most importantly, the food! Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Even our two young children (3 and 6) loved their Starburst drinks and teriyaki steaks. A special shoutout to our server, Bryan, who truly elevated our evening. His knowledge of the menu, attentive service, and friendly demeanor made us feel so well taken care of. We left completely satisfied and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

The cauliflower entree was undercooked and the sauce was too sweet and too sour. The sea bass was fine. The sunset and view was extraordinary. Our server. Bryan must have been experiencing an "off" night. When I asked about the vegan tofu entree (not on menu, you have to ask for it) that I enjoyed in Aug. 2024 he said the menu had changed and sometimes the chefs throw the baby out in the bathwater. When I asked if he could give us two separate checks split according to what we each ordered he said they don't usually do it (although no problem in Aug). Then he shares that he created two because we were "nice". So strange.

Everything was just ok. Couldn’t see the ocean view, as you needed to pay an extra $35 Per person to sit by the water but had no idea until we got there, even inquiring with concierge several times, there was no mention of preferred upcharged seating. Disappointing experience, food & service. And the bill at the end of the meal was $400 for 2 adults and 3 children. definitely not worth it.

Food and drinks were fantastic!! Service was impeccable! Prices were a little high compared to other places very similar in all areas! We loved the atmosphere and the restaurant/bar are gorgeous! Really great visit- would definitely recommend!!

Last night, I celebrated my birthday dinner at Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect—the food, the service, and the breathtaking scenery. I ordered the salmon, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s expertise. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt welcomed and well cared for throughout the evening. The highlight, however, was the setting. Watching the sun set while sipping on pre-dinner cocktails was absolutely magical. The colors reflecting off the water created a serene and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa for anyone looking for a memorable night out. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a desire for amazing food and views, this place delivers on all fronts!

Absolutely horrendous on just about every single level. We were rushed as soon as we sat down by the hostess, appetizers and entrees were all bad….not just for some of us, but we all felt that way. It’s extremely expensive and we knew that, I just couldn’t possibly imagine that the food would have been this dreadful. First time I have ever given a restaurant one star.

Beautiful restaurant in an unparalleled location with great service. However, food was pretty poor. I ordered the red snapper which was extremely dry and overcooked. It came with a side that tasted like it was premade and then microwaved. My husband’s ceviche was probably the worst we have ever tasted. For a restaurant in its price range, it was disappointing.

Waiter was rude and rushed us along. Our bill was $460 for 2 people and I would expect better service for that price point.
