Unfortunately, both the meal and the service were mediocre. I dined here for the first time in October and was very pleased with both the food and the service, so much so that I was talking about it being a runner up to Mama's Fish House for ambiance, flavor and quality. Our experience this time was like going out for a holiday meal, knowing what you expect is not going to match reality. We were seated next to a railing by a water feature of some sort. It was dark, so I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talk. Our waitress seamed to be in a hurry to get us to order and finish, yet our food took plenty of time to come out. We asked for cocktails, which we found all but one to have very little flavor. Our entrees were bland, with the highlight being the sides of Brussel sprouts and potato au gratin. The server never asked if we wanted another beverage or wine with dinner. We had oysters, which were fine, and something else that I can't even remember. The server's assistants brought the food and I think our waitress stopped back by once we were already eating to check in. Desserts were also fine, it's hard to mess up mud pie. We arrived at 7:30 and by 9pm we were the last ones there, which could have been why our service was lacking. We saw the hostess close up the reservation system at 9pm on the dot and walk away. I felt like I was dining at a place where I wasn't really wanted, but was being served anyway. After paying $750 for five of us, with a couple sharing entrees due to size, not price, and one beverage each, I won't be back. My son said he felt like we were dining at a Pirates of The Caribbean themed restaurant at Disneyland. That sums up the overall feel. Knowing they can do better, I certainly hope they figure it out. Relying on those vacationing, who will only come once, is not the kind of restaurant they should be. A destination restaurant that guests looked forward to enjoying would be much better suited.

Food is delicious and service excellent but way overpriced. Cocktails are $25+ and entrees $60-$70+. Salads are more than the cocktails. Mama’s Fish House is a better value and I think that is expensive.

Beautiful setting with friendly an attentive service. Felt the hostess was a little sassy. She asked if we had parking so she can validate and I asked even for valet and she said yes unless you want to pay $60…didnt feel like she needed to say that. How am I to know you do ordont have self parking? Nieve was our server and was lovely along with her server assistant. Price is high and would have liked a few more options on the menu, but overall enjoyed our time. Can't beat the setting.

We were very much Looking Forward to coming to Humuhumu The Food was Fabulous!, Volt our servers helper was Amazing and should be a server Unfortunately our server was not Good at all She was not friendly and she was rushed and stressed When your spending $700.00 for dinner you would hope your server wouldn't rush it and treat it like she does it everyday and it's no big deal These experiences are special for the guests

They charged $70 for two sea side experience which was no different then a night before we went there .

My boyfriend and I went here because we were intrigued by the fish tank bar. We got the petite seafood platter, venison appetizer, 10oz filet and the pacific snapper. Everything was a 10/10, could not have been better. Our server was Michael and he was amazing. We loved speaking with him.

We were told our table was ready and then wasn't seated for several minutes. We both felt like we in the Tiki exhibit at Disney. Also, the noise from the luau was intrusive. Lastly, there was an odor of sewage that really killed the mood. The table service was fantastic as well as the food. For all the hype for the Experience, it did not live up to expectations.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere is very interesting; uniquely Hawaiian. The service was average but we did have a large party. We would definitely go back. I wished they would have used linens of some sort on our table.
