Humo [oo-moh], is a modern firehouse situated in the heart of Watford, serving Spanish inspired meat, seafood, fish, and seasonal vegetables cooked in a charcoal and wood oven.

The furnace reaches temperatures of over 300 degrees Celsius so the produce is seared and smoked in seconds, making sure the flavour sings on your palate, and not on the plate.

The restaurant boasts a beautiful, seated island bar, a peephole into the working kitchen and covers for over 100 guests. The a la carte menu is purposely focused on dishes that dance in the fire, and the specials menu celebrates the produce only available seasonally.

The wine list is carefully designed to pair with the menu and comprises of a sophisticated range of wines from around the world. The bar also features a range of spirits, beers, classic and inventive cocktails for your pleasure.

    Celebrated a special birthday at Humo Watford with my loved ones, and what an evening! The cocktails were simply delightful—especially the Raspberry Marg, a new favorite. The miso aubergine was a standout, and the Jamon Croquetas were so good we fought over the last one! Definitely recommend the 8 hour short ribs and half chicken (both juicy and smoky). The attentive staff made the experience even better. The ambiance was spotless and had a great vibe that everyone enjoyed. The timing between courses was perfect, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed, even though we ordered quite a spread, and everything came out hot and perfect, kudos to the chefs. The Torrijas & Requeson dessert was heavenly with its caramelisation and unique flavours, wish we’d ordered more.

    Although the menu boasts tapas and steak, it’s listed as a Japanese restaurant in some places and we didn’t get that vibe. The chimichurri was likely the best I’ve ever had, served with tender beef perfectly cooked. The patatas bravas were tasty and the sauce was just right. Excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, great food, and modest prices made this a definite “will return” experience.

    We had booked a table for breakfast at 11am, we haf messages to confirm the booking the day before. Turned up on the morning and the reaturant was closed, a member of staff advised us they no longer do breakfast even though you can make a booking and the manager hadn't sorted out the website or the confirmation text messages. Very disappointing, luckily The Florist was available and it turned out to be better than Humo would have been. Very disappointing that Humo couldn't do basic communication

    The staff at Humo are amazing! So warm and welcoming. The dj is awesome!!! Food is great and the cocktails are the best in watford by far.
