I have been to Hudson House several times. The food and service are excellent. I have had a problem twice there and think it will be awhile before I go back. There are too many great new restaurants to go to. We walked in with my elderly mother in law. We had a reservation. The hostess asked if we wanted Happy Hour or not. I hadn't gone for HH but know that the cheeseburger my husband wanted was $6.00 less on HH and the Martini I was going to get less so said "Yes we would like HH" She asked if we wanted inside or out. My MIL did not want to sit outside. The hosted then took us to a table in the bar area. We started to order HH drink and was told we couldn't get HH. I explained the conversation with the hostess and still no HH. First of all I would not have chosen to sit in the much noisier bar area if I couldn't have HH. The hostess is the one that asked if we wanted HH. Not a third world problem but not ok. If there was a miscommunication on the hostess part they should have honored what she said. It would have saved a customer and cost them the difference between the cheeseburger and martini. Like I said,a second strike. It is a great place but how they treat customers and where we spend our money matter. I have friends that don't go anymore because of similar experiences.

We celebrated a birthday in a semiprivate room. We had great food and service along with a nice room making it easy for everyone to visit and enjoy their meal. We will definitely return!

Wonderful food and service. The brunch menu looked outstanding as well but we opted for lunch.

Everything was great! The only bothersome thing was that they do not take cash. It annoys me to no end when businesses don’t take cash. Other than that I love it!!

Was not as great as the first visit…. Food lacked in flavor in comparison and waitress seemed to be very unhappy about something but out food was just ok in hindsight

I made a reservation on open table a month in advance. We were still sat at the community table, which I have been sat as a walk in previously. Though this wasn’t a huge issue, it took away from the meal as we were expecting a table for our rather small party. I had booked the table the first day it allows on here as to ensure we weren’t sat here. Hindered my experience and my reliance on using their preferred method of reservations.
