    We love Hudson House. The service and food are great but the “happy hour”’rules are ridiculous. We reserved a table in the bar to have a gathering of 4 individuals for happy hour only to be told that the table/booth we were seated in did not meet the criteria for happy hour specials. Outrageous.

    As usual!!! It was fantastic…can’t help but order my favorites every time but….let me just say this: For all the women out there—-the Mac and cheese and a glass of wine and you’ll never miss men again!!! We missed Melanie, but Nick was fabulous and attentive and not bad looking either!! Seriously, have never had a bite that was not exceptional, well prepared and thoroughly satisfying. Absolutely the best seafood in town but if you like steak….theirs will melt in your mouth like butter!!!

    The French Chicken was beyond disappointing. The texture of the chicken was like sawdust…the chicken was clearly frozen and thawed one too many times. The arugula was drowning in a syrupy sweet overly abundant dressing. The only redeeming food element on the plate were the fries. A welcome crispness in contrast to the nasty chicken and the soggy salad. The food was nothing like the same dish served at the Hudson House on Lovers. The food at their Lovers location is far superior to this tragically offered dish. To add insult to injury their pricing has crept upward to a level that is unwarranted. My dining companion remarked that the chicken sandwich at Chik Fil Le is far more juicy, luscious and flavorful than the stringy textured French Chicken at this particular Hudson House. The only two redeeming food elements of the meal were the key lime pie and the fries. The light and bright open atmosphere provides a welcome setting for an upscale dining experience. The food was an epic fail and a financial insult at $48 for the two dishes. The chef at their Lover’s Lane location needs to spend time in this kitchen to get them on a new path. Do yourself a favor and bypass this Hudson House and go the Lucille’s.

    Everything from the hostess, server, all staff, food, and drinks were great. There were 5 of us and 3 of us got the chicken parm and the others got the French Toast. Not one complaint. Food was amazing.

    We were seated in the bar. It was too loud. The original and spicy margarita was not good. The oysters were delicious. The “best” sushi roll was not good. I had the French chicken, it was pretty good. The silk pie was good.

    Our entrees came before our drinks. We love the place, but really slow drink service. Needs work.

    I've been told that Hudson House has the best hamburger in town (after I had lunch there this time). I saw one be delivered to another table and it looked great. I ordered the Greek salad, because I remembered be being very good during my first visit. This time, I commented to my friend with me, "This is the best salad I think I've ever eaten." It was picture perfect in presentation and all components with grilled chicken were incredibly fresh. The noise level is a bit much for me, but another person might think of it as energetic. We were seated at a high top next to the bar in the back away from being surrounded by the crowd, but it was still pretty loud. That said, I will definitely go back again because the food is so good. Note too, that the restaurant was so busy, their parking lot was filled and I had to park a block and a half away on the street that allowed public parking. Near the restaurant street parking is by permit only. Just FYI. Not a bad walk, just saying!

    Busy spot, but enjoyable food and service. Truffle parm fries are a must and the sushi rolls are fantastic. Service was quick and executed well. We’ll be back!
