Hudson and Essex is the premier restaurant of Mansfield’s rustbelt revitalization. Our sleek elegant space showcases a distinctive menu featuring local purveyors and wine from our own Cypress Hill Winery. Our menu changes with the seasons to keep our food fresh while keeping the customer favorites available all year.

Cypress Hill Winery is a boutique winery located beneath Hudson & Essex in the Carousel District of Mansfield, Ohio that remains loyal to the passion and the art of California wine. Family, friends (new and old), connoisseurs and novices alike are welcome. Join us! We look forward to meeting you.

For parties of 8 or more, we do require you to call in to the restaurant as we would need to make sure that we have enough tables available to accommodate you. Outstanding! When I took a bite of the Lobster Benedict I literally had to “stop the presses”!, Now I’m a cook, but this sauce, the amount of lobster…it was truly outstanding! Had an amazing waiter Nick, who could not do enough for us! Great experience, awesome food…highly recommend!

We had dinner at Hudson and Essex. Food was delicious, prepared perfectly. Service was outstanding. Will definitely go back.

What a find! The owners stopped by to talked to us, delightful couple. Best meal I’ve ever had.

We were greeted by the staff and taken to our table. Our server was very nice and explained the menu to us. We were then greeted by the owners and they were very sweet. Our food was excellent. We were in town to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the REN. Very nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back if we are ever in the area.

We love going upstairs for special occasions and downstairs for Thursday Beer& Burger nights. Always a great meal.

I found out about this place on Facebook and it was a 40 min drive but totally worth it!!! I love how it has 3 different venues in one location!! You can tell a lot of thought and detail went into the renovation and the history of the venue is AMAZING!!! The menu is limited, but when you taste your food you understand why! We had a bread board to start and how can bread be soooo amazing? With homemade butter and jam, that's how!! The produce and meat are locally sourced and the steaks were PERFECTLY cooked and so tender! We started in the winery and had dinner and a bottle of wine. Reed was our server and was AMAZING!!!!! After dinner we went upstairs to the bar and had drinks and we were told that Alex's specialty is an Espresso Martini so make sure you request that! We cannot wait to go back to the Cavern dinner!

Probably some of the best service I have ever had when dining out. Servers very attentive.Food was very good, too.
