Hudson and Essex is the premier restaurant of Mansfield’s rustbelt revitalization. Our sleek elegant space showcases a distinctive menu featuring local purveyors and wine from our own Cypress Hill Winery. Our menu changes with the seasons to keep our food fresh while keeping the customer favorites available all year.

Cypress Hill Winery is a boutique winery located beneath Hudson & Essex in the Carousel District of Mansfield, Ohio that remains loyal to the passion and the art of California wine. Family, friends (new and old), connoisseurs and novices alike are welcome. Join us! We look forward to meeting you.

For parties of 8 or more, we do require you to call in to the restaurant as we would need to make sure that we have enough tables available to accommodate you. Great food and our waiter Reed was fantastic. Mansfield is lucky to have such a nice little restaurant!!

The food was great and came out quickly. Our service was amazing and we were even 30 minutes late to our reservation due to traffic and they still held. Our table made great for a Valentine’s Day dinner.

We had reservations downstairs in the winery. Our server was very attentive and refilled our wine glasses whenever they were empty. He knew my friend and I were catching up and did not check in too often. We never felt ignored, but it was great to not be interrupted with questions.

They never disappoint but this was our first brunch at Hudson & Essex. Everything was delicious and we all loved the rosemary toast!

This was our second time to experience the Sunday brunch. We enjoyed this time with friends and our daughter to celebrate a birthday. The food was well prepared and delicious. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. For a special occasion dining at Hudson and Essex is worth the higher cost.

This place is a hidden gem in Mansfield. It is quite literally worth the visit just to come to H&E. We met our four friends for a 60th birthday party. All of them truly enjoyed the ambiance and the quiet atmosphere. The owners, who are always cordial, visited with our table for ten minutes and very much helped to make our party special. Food was excellent; not one of our party had even an average review; each dish was carefully prepared and was delicious. Servers teamed up and kicked butt; johnny's on the spot and water glasses were not empty. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you want a great time and super food, this is your place!

If you want a quality dining experience, this is the place try. Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Our waiter Reed was the best! And we got to meet the owners and have a wonderful fill-on on the history of the place. Loved the experience.

Great New Year’s at H&E. My wife and I got the chance to try new winter menu last night. We loved everything we got. The lobster bisque with smoked salmon was excellent. Very traditional bisque but the smoked salmon was a great addition. We both had the cream cheese garlic bread that also a great start to the meal. My wife had the steak Diane which was excellent with their Brussels sprouts and garlic chive potatoes. My steak frites ribeye was excellent as well. We got a side portion of their Lobster Mac’n Cheese. Very rich and tasty. Great service all around!
