What started as just a counter and a few tables has grown into a place where generations come together to celebrate summer at the Jersey Shore! Famous for the Original French Fried Lobster and award winning chowder, Howard's has been serving Long Beach Island visitors and locals since 1950!

My first time at Howard's, but went along with others who have been there many times over the years. Nothing fancy, but amazing seafood and the prices are reasonable. My halibut was very, very tasty as were the local oysters we had for an appetizer. Would absolutely return.

Our dinner was excellent as usual. The lobster bisque is divine. I had the lobster tails and they were just perfect. Our whole meal was exceptional and that's why we always come back to Howard's. We feel that for the quality their price is very reasonable. We love Howard's.

We had the best waiter! He was professional and very attentive. The food was okay. It was overpriced for what you got. The portions were small. Crab cake was mediocre and the broccoli was soggy. The rolls were delicious!

Both my wife enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent. The Blackened Halibut special I had was the best halibut I ever had. The only negative, was it was a bit loud, but it was a full house,

Delicious meal! Loved the Gluten Free menu, my daughter loved the salmon, she has Celiac. Would be fun if you had a separate Gluten Free fryer for your fried lobster. We will be back!

It was super noisy and service was slow but that never bothers me. The pricing and quantity of the food was actually comical. We were laughing as we read the menu bit continued to order the most expensive things on the menu. We came for the French fried lobster which is now only 5 small piece and $52.95. The food was great. Love the salad and rolls but can only make it once a year now based on the value for your dollar
