House of Que- American Dream located in East Rutherford, New Jersey is our premier flagship restaurant. Having developed and mastered our style of BBQ at our Hoboken location, our BBQ is prepared AUSTIN STYLE by Pit Master/Chef Michael Rodriguez with over 20 years BBQ experience.

Our meats are smoked low and slow with hickory and oak using the finest cuts of Brisket, Pork Shoulder, Pork Sausage, and St. Louis Style Ribs. Our signature Smoked Brisket is simply delectable.

The bar is fully loaded with all of your favorite brands of liquor, draft beer and beer by the bottle.

Our TV's and sound system features state of the art technology and we stream all sports events. We offer a calendar of live performances including Dueling Pianos, with the Flying Ivories.

At HOQ in American Dream, the ambience is casual and the outdoor patio overlooks the live performance level of the Dream Mall.

Food was not fresh, came out somewhat cold. Brisket and ribs had no flavor. BBQ beans were not bbq beans, very bland. Not an ideal place to eat if you are looking for good bbq.

Way overpriced for what you get -everything is al la carte. Order a pulled BBQ sandwich for $15, with fries - add another $6. For an expensive meal - flimsy plastic cups and plastic plates did not go w/the vibe. I get wanting to channel a laid back, country feel - but it felt cheap and overpriced. The music was so loud, for a restaurant, it was louder than being in a club. You had a to scream at the person across to have a conversation. We had to leave early - there are so many better options at American Dream

Food was basic, nothing to bring us back. Food came out quickly. Food was NOT hot, it was room temp. However, we did like the brisket. Loud depressing country music. Plastic cups and paper boats. Staff looked exhausted and half asleep. No vibe. For what we spent, not worth it at all.

First time at House of Que and it will not be our last! We came over right after snowboarding at Big Snow (steps away- perfect to refuel!) and were seated immediately. Our server, Christian, was PHENOMENAL. We are looking forward to our next visit - the Texas roll and pork belly are absolute must try’s!

Staff was great. Food was terrible. A the corn bread was hard as a rock. The ribs were cold. Terrible.

We truly enjoyed everything at House of Que. The food was delicious and they give a lot of food. Drinks were beyond yummy and our waitress was awesome! We can’t wait to go back. Sooo Good! 🥰

Dinner for 5 adults. Ordered Texas Irish nacho appetizer; potatoes very mushy. Dinner was brisket, pulled pork and 1/2 chicken. Chicken was moist and tasty. Brisket and pork had little flavor. BBQ sauce was on the table in small condiment containers and were not labeled at all. Sides were sweet potatoes, cole slaw and Mac and cheese. All were the large size and came in paper cups. Sweets were good, nicely sweet. Cole slaw was also good. Mac and cheese very disappointing, tasted like cheap cheese melted over macaroni. Ordered 2 types of desserts. Brownie a la mode, brownie wasn’t warmed and was quite hard. Peach cobbler was passable. Also, even though it has a bar, there was no drink menu. And how can a barbecue restaurant not have cornbread on the menu.
