Rachel who was our server was wonderful! My date asked her about crispy sage (based on a shared experience) they were discussing. Before we were done with our meal, Rachel showed up with written down information. The food is always great at House Kitchen & Bar. “Chef” always makes you feel special and provides the best French Dip in the Sacramento area! Thank you Chef, Rachel and staff for letting my date experience why House Kitchen & Bar is a favorite of mine!!

We were a group of 10, at the last minute, as our original plans fell through. They were able to accommodate us without any difficulty. The service was excellent, and the wait staff were very attentive. The food was also very good, other than the deviled eggs, which were slightly overcooked. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely return!

We tried a little bit of everything. Food and cocktails were delicious. Short rib was especially yummy.

Great location. Lots of hard surfaces, so it gets really loud and can be difficult to hear the folks at your table without them yelling. If you can, get seated in a booth and avoid being near large groups. Food is excellent.

I had great expectations for this spot as they are known for their prime ribs on Mondays. We made reservations here intentionally on Monday and came in for this. First, the hostess made zero eye contacts with the line that was waiting to be seated. She was seating everyone who walked in on first come first serve basis, there was only 1 line and no other methods for helping folks that had reservations. 5 parties ahead of us all had no reservations and were seated immediately. By the time it got to us we had reservations but were left to seat at the last available tiny table at the corner. This was not a good Segway to our experience here. Then we were greeted by our waiter who said let's get your drinks ordered and I will come back with some water for you guys. The drinks took a long time and the water never came. When she returned to take our orders for dinner she let us know that they have no prime ribs today and were Un empathetic about it too. We ended up ordering the Filet and Braised short ribs, deviled eggs for App. Along with two drinks. The food was mediocre as it lack seasoning, and the deviled eggs were over powered by mustard and salt. Drinks were ok. Also the limited parking, with one parking lot that had no elevators make it hard to want to return. They are directly behind the G1 Center so imagine the availability for parking when there is an Event here, which happens all the times.

We had a wonderful lunch here. We were greeted and seated promptly by the friendly bartender. Our cocktails were expertly made and delicious. My husband ordered the salmon entrée while I chose the salmon BLT. Both were lovely dishes, delicious and nicely presented. Service throughout the meal was impeccable. We chose to eat inside, which is a serene and charming environment, but the outdoor patio looked inviting, so we'll have to return to try that seating. And more of the tasty food! A wonderful experience in downtown Sacramento.

The noise level was painful!!! Couln't even talk to my husband. The food was poor. Last time we ate there, the sandwich was delicious. We came back and ordered the same sandwich. It was terrible.

Our experience at House was fantastic! The decor is simple but quite pretty and the food was sensational. I highly recommend that you go there and enjoy!
