Great experience at Host StIves we went with two young children and were well looked after, cocktails were great, food was delicious and we had a lovely time. The only thing I would say is if you have fussy children the children’s menu isn’t very plain.

Almost empty on a Sunday lunchtime, says it all really. Food served warm at best, very cool well before it could be eaten Apparently a new chef, hopefully he’ll read these reviews

Dear Guest, We sincerely apologise as we know people work hard for their money and the time with our loved ones are very precious. We should also have done checkbacks and I apologise if this was not done. Never the less, the food should be exceptional and there should be no need for you to complain and spoil your experience. We are invested greatly to improve the quality and consistancy of our offering and it is everyone in the building's objective to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience. Booked here for our anniversary having had a brilliant meal in April when we were last here. Totally disappointed in the meal. They have reduced the Sunday lunch menu and the beef was very chewy and had very little taste. It wasn’t very warm either. The accompanying vegetables were ok. Spoke to the waitress who said they had changed the chef and reduced the menu. Pity as neither of them seemed to have worked. News must have already got round as whilst it had previously been busy it was almost deserted today. As previously stated so disappointing and unlikely to bother going again as even pub grub would be as good and probably cheaper.

The objective with the changes is to improve the quality and consistancy of our offering and we are investing extensively to achieve this. Our meat is British and comes from a well regarded butcher and we are investing greatly in our kitchen staff to avoid these issues. Went for happy hour cocktails but very disappointed as they were much smaller in quantity and poorer overall presentation than main cocktail menu so would suggest it’s not the offer it’s presented as. The Pizza was tasty. Staff are very friendly giving good service. There is a service charge applied to the bill.

The food was delicious although the choice was minimal. Saying that there was a selection of things I liked. The staff were very friendly and professional. The peach bellini was great. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely evening meal in St Ives with the family. Food came out promptly and was very tasty. The atmosphere was good. Loved the happy hour cocktails great addition, and I have to say the service was excellent.. the 2 girls that served us were very helpful and extremely polite. Would highly recommend and definitely return. X
