The original HopCat location is located in a historical building downtown Grand Rapids. Steps from Van Andel Arena, GLC Live at 20 Monroe, and the Grand Rapids Art Museum, our restaurant features a dog-friendly outdoor patio, oversized wooden bar, and comfortable seating.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

    Fun bar with a great menu. A really incredible selection of beers and delicious burgers and other bar food. Really can’t go wrong here and will definitely be back.

    We met up here to spend a long afternoon visiting with our nephew. It was a great retreat for food and drink to escape the blistering heat outside. The waitstaff was friendly, prompt and attentive. They have delicious local cider and beers on tap. The menu has a nice variety of casual food. Next time hoping for a little less fried and a little more salad!

    It was 9 o’clock on a Friday night. Very busy because Van Andel Arena just got out. We got right in because of our OpenTable reservation. Service was excellent. Food was delicious.

    HopCat is known for their drink selection and environment and those were both good for this visit. The food was OK, but not great. The service was very good.

    Our server was so sweet and we had the most beautiful area upstairs for our group to eat and drink. Was my first time being there and it was amazing. I will be back!
