Our second ever HopCat location opened back in 2013! Located right outside of Michigan State University's campus and around the corner from the MSU Union, this location features multiple TVs to make sure you’ll have the best seat in the house to catch the Spartans.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

We live the craft lifestyle - beer, cocktails and even craft food made from scratch. With a dedication to local breweries, sustainability and community engagement, HopCat offers craft beer and great food in a vibrant atmosphere for an inclusive, unforgettable experience.

    Savanna was excellent! She was very nice and patient when members of our party arrived late. Our drinks were never empty and she answered tons of questions for us.

    We were in East Lansing visiting the University. We were on Yelp looking for a place with good burgers. We decided on stopping at Hopcat after reading some of the positive feedback. There was three in our party and we all had the BYOB. The burgers were delicious and the fries just as well. I recommend Hopcat if you’re looking for a tasty burger.

    Service was incredible. Food was just ok. Eggs were way overdone and hash browns were stringy and greasy. Bacon was burnt. Mac and cheese was very good. The people who got burgers were happy with their food. Probably would not get brunch again.

    Great selection of beers! Food was good- large portions. Service was also great! It is loud inside by nature of building and area but not crazy. Reservations highly recommended as this is in busy area of East Lansing.

    The hostesses were so kind getting us a perfect table on the first floor quickly for my senior citizen father. It was a busy weekend at MSU and the girls there couldn’t have been more patient, thoughtful and kind- Hostesses and server. A great experience!
