Nothing quite captures the spirit of a Cornish summer than following a summertime dip in its azure waters with a plate of lusciously fresh local seafood. Happily, that's just the experience to be found here at Hooked on the Rocks, which is just yards from the shore of Swanpool beach near Falmouth.

Visit to experience local, sustainable seafood such as Falmouth Bay scallops, Falmouth Bay lobster or crab, whole fish from Newlyn Fish Market or a Shellfish Platter to share, all designed to satiate the appetite of any sandy‑toed gourmet.

Dogs are welcome in our heated awning area or on our sea view terrace.

Great delicious food but poor service. Rude upon arrival and very slow to get served. Waited half an hour to receive drinks once seated and then the same to order food. Although they were clearly busy, the level of service did not reflect the price of the meal or wine. Have visited this restaurant many times now and very disappointed on this occasion. Hope it was just one poor evening as other times have been good.

Had a table outside which was a bit chilly but fine as calm evening. Food was good but think prices were a bit high for portion size.

Fantastic menu; everything we tried was amazing, especially the gazpacho and the sashimi. We hope to be back soon!

We had an excellent meal. I had the steamed Newlyn cod and my partner had the whole plaice. Both were beautifully cooked. The setting of the restaurant is great and helped by the wonderful weather. We will return.

Good seafood menu, excellent food. Helpful and engaged service, very pleasant. Lovely views. Definitely going again.

We have eaten at Hooked on the Rocks several times and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and welcoming. The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and provide a positive and engaging service. The cooking of the food is exceptional with really well constructed plates with complimentary seasonal dressings or sauces - really loved the chargrilled mackerel with rhubarb and golden raisin dressing! Happy to recommend and more than happy to return.

We love our food and this has to be up there with one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at!! Food as exceptional, the service was amazing and the location was beautiful!! Would highly recommend!

Went here based off great reviews online and friends. It was good, food was nice lots of seafood options. Wine menu was decent. Service was excellent. But few things, there should be more included with a shellfish platter for 2 sharing at £64. A bit of lobster, some fresh homemade doorstop bread. It was GOOD, not excellent. I have had better for a similar price. Anyway overall, great restaurant, amazing location, fantastic service.
