Nothing quite captures the spirit of a Cornish summer than following a summertime dip in its azure waters with a plate of lusciously fresh local seafood. Happily, that's just the experience to be found here at Hooked on the Rocks, which is just yards from the shore of Swanpool beach near Falmouth.

Visit to experience local, sustainable seafood such as Falmouth Bay scallops, Falmouth Bay lobster or crab, whole fish from Newlyn Fish Market or a Shellfish Platter to share, all designed to satiate the appetite of any sandy‑toed gourmet.

Dogs are welcome in our heated awning area or on our sea view terrace.

Amazing - nothing disappointed and we tried lots of dishes between us - the scallops and the Thai mussels were outstanding but the crab gazpacho was sublime!

Our favourite place to eat in Falmouth. Food is always excellent, friendly staff and a choice of tables inside or out, lovely view over the beach and water

Really good, fresh seafood. My 7yr old tried mussels for the first time and ate the lot!

We couldn’t praise Hooked on the Rocks highly enough, this was our second visit during our two weeks holiday! Staff are excellent, food is out of this world. The crab was sensational, as were the scallops. My husband had the crab risotto, divine, my friends had mussels and cod also top notch.

We took a dog with us so had to sit outside but in the covered area , which was great. Lots of people were being turned away as they were fully booked, so make sure you book online .

A great fresh lunch, especially for a Monday. Lots of choice of fish and shellfish, everything our group of 4 ordered was superb. Great value too - we will be back
