Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. Enjoy the purest and fresh take on some classic cocktails.

Enjoyed a nice Sunday dinner sitting outside on the balcony. Cool place with a nice relaxed vibe, DJ playing nice mix of music below. They have wonderfully delicious cocktails. We had the spicy tuna bites and Charcuterie which was very nice. It's served with toasted Baguette but my only comment is the bread was too hard to properly enjoy. Yes, the signature Ginger Scallion Sea Bass is absolutely delicious and was cooked to perfection. Alex was our server and did an awesome job with us paced our meal perfectly which made for a great experience.

Fantastic food and convenient for hotel guests. Portions and quality are on point. If you are a fish lover I highly suggest Signature sea bass, grilled salmon, snapper and himachi crudo! Love the atmosphere from eating alone while working to enjoying cocktails and dinner with colleagues and friends. At times the service staff is not available which makes you feel like you are looking or chasing someone to attend to your needs. Suggest they add another staff member for service or train staff to return to tables more frequently to proactively engage with their guests.

The view and atmosphere were amazing. The service was professional and personable. My wife and I are going again in a few days.

Wait staff was very nice but service took forever and there was only 4-5 other tables during prime business hours. Probably won’t be coming back

Our server Michelle was outstanding. However some things fell short due to technology issues with the order machine. We were in good company so we did enjoy the atmosphere, our drinks and Michelle’s efforts to try to resolve. The manager did apologize and made sure we knew he was aware of our situation and working on it. He also compensated some items. My husband had the beef short ribs which were very flavorful and great a presentation. My salmon was not enjoyed because it was very bland and dry. The parmesan fries were over cooked. Everything else was bar bites which were simple and good. This was all of our first time there. Even though there were challenges, we’ll likely go back because of the efforts and attention of Michelle and the manager to try to save our evening. Its a beautiful place, vibrant, great for groups, yummy cocktails with a nice open flow. Overall we had a good time.

I enjoyed this. Had dinner with a friend. It's a tad hard to find - could use better signage, but once you find it we found the food to be excellent, the drinks delicious and the entrees top-notch. Would definitely return.
