Le chef Mark et Judy Ellman ont ouvert une cabane de fruits de mer, juste à côté de la Mala Ocean Tavern. Honu Seafood and Pizza se situe juste sur les rochers de la côte Pacifique, propose 50 bières, une carte de vins bio et éclectique ainsi qu'une vaste sélection de scotch et de rhum. Mark et Judy ont créé un cadre qui apaise la soif et les plus grands appétits amateurs d'huîtres, de palourdes et de moules, de salade Crab Louie, qui pourront aussi déguster une sélection de fruits de mer hawaïens, du poisson des côtes Ouest et Est des États-Unis. Honu dispose également d'un four en briques de 900 degrés permettant la réalisation de pizzas artisanales. Venez à Honu pour boire une bière de micro-brasseries locales, manger des huîtres fraîchement écaillées et laissez vos yeux et votre âme se détendre au cœur du Pacifique. This was our first time dining here, and we loved it. The cornmeal crusted oysters were delicious. We also had the mahi mahi fish and truffle fries which were amazing and love the Korean aoli. We loved it so much we are coming back on Tuesday! What a great find.

We are so glad to see this restaurant reopen. We have missed it so much for the last year. The menu is just as good if not better than ever before. I’m very excited to see the new Mocktail list. Very hip. The food was exceptional and the service was great. We would eat here 1 million times over and you cannot beat the view.

I always thought Merriman’s set the standard for gourmet dining on Maui. Not anymore. Honu exceeded all expectations. The menu is unique and diverse. The cocktails are superb. I ordered a $35 burger and I never thought I would say this but it’s worth $50. The most flavorful, unique, and rich burger I’ve had. And I eat lots of burgers. My wife had the steak and potatoes au gratin. Mindblowing. We had oysters and split the crab Louis for our apps. Honu gives every top tier restaurant a run for its money. And the views are stunning. Our table was 10 feet from waves splashing on the shore.

This was our second visit this week. The food was SO DELICIOUS! We’re leaving for California tomorrow and wanted this to be a special send off. Food, drinks, dessert and service were all excellent. Thank you John

We had a lovely oceanfront view for our anniversary dinner. We were treated with champagne upon arrival and enjoyed the delicious ahi poke appetizer as well as the scallops and fish special. They were excellent about gluten and dairy allergies, too. Delicious meal and wonderful experience!

we had a great time last night at Honu, my ossobuco and the desserts were excellent as well as the fabulous wines the menu has a lot of good selections the service is professional and friendly, the ambiance is warm, its a well run establishment and cannot wait to come back,

Delicious food and wonderful staff. We ate at Honu 4 times during our stay in Maui. So glad they are open once again.

Disappointed in our evening. We made a rez and asked for a table by the rail. We got it but it w as outside and really hot. We asked if we could move to one of the inside rail tables bust they told us if we went inside we had to sit in the middle of the dining g room. There were 3 inside tables by the rail but we couldn’t get one even tho it was 415 and 2 of the 3 remained vacant the entire time we were there. We were hot and sweaty when we left. The food was meh. The ahi veishetta was great as always with good amounts of ahi on it. We had the Greek salad as well and split it but it was a really small portion and nothing spectacular. Just average. The pieces were cut so small it was almost hard to eat. We finished with the margharita flatbread which was a big disappointment. Nice flavor in the crust which was good because there was a severe lack of toppings. Just a very thin veil of tomato sauce you could see the crust on every inch of the pie and very little cheese. We shook a ton of park on it just to get some cheese flavor. We had a take and bake from Costco a few nights before which was 10x better and didn’t cost 30 dollars. Server was nice everyone friendly but don’t think we’ll be back.
