As authentic as it gets if you are not actually eating in China. Large, perfectly cooked portions intended for sharing. Huge variety of seafood, some meat, and vegetarian choices. Team service. Great setting on San Francisco Bay with expansive water and bridge views.

Food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired. Only 4 tables of people eating at 7pm but we had to ASK for water and tea refills...sort of ignored by the staff..Cordial but felt biased.

Get sum sum location with a view! Came for a friend's birthday and got sad seating with a view for all of us. Prices are fair. Got lots of shrimp dumplings, duck, a few veggies dishes and black sesame balls. Food comes out fast, and servers are quick. Besides hot sauce and soy sauce I do wish there was other condiments, but didn't stop us from chowing down.

I normally don't write reviews, but my experience was so bad that I'm going to leave one. Firstly, I set a reservation for 2 and indicated it was my birthday requested a window seat. As part of my request, I asked if a window seat is not available. Let me know, and I will gladly go somewhere else. Please don't waste my time. Now, upon arrival, nobody was at the front desk, leaving me and my wife awkwardly standing there for about 10 minutes. Long enough to notice the place has not been mopped or scrubbed in a long time. It's very dingy and dirty. When the host finally arrived, she explained that no window seats were available. Mind you, she was not friendly at all if anything, she had an attitude. She wanted me to sit in the back of the restaurant. No thanks. However, there was an unoccupied table by the window. I asked about it, and i was told it was reserved. Really. I guess my reservation is not important. When I asked to speak to the manager all of a sudden they didn't know how to speak English anymore. At this point, I was over it, I'll take my money and big tip somewhere else. I DO NOT recommend this place the staff is rude the place is about as clean as a flea market. Take your business somewhere else

Great experience. I took my wife here for her birthday, she loved the family feel, the great food and the million dollar views of the bay. This is a hidden gem and I will definitely return and recommend.

I cannot believe I've never even *attempted* to dine here over the past 35 years we've lived in the Berkeley area! What a gem; what a find! Location, Location, Location! We were seated next to the windows. It's right on the waterfront with (on a clear day) unobstructed views of the Bay Bridge, SF FiDi, Sutro Tower, Treasure Island, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Sausalito, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and ferry services galore! The Food! Outstanding! Ordering was a bit confusing to me b/c I was expecting DimSum carts -which they do not have. The Lobster, Shrimp Rolls, Rice, sweet and savory items, vegetables, steamed items- they have it all. IT's best to look at the menu BEFORE arriving b/c it's just that vast. Full service bar and cocktails are also available. It was a wonderful Birthday Lunch for 2 - and we had zero constraints! For the amount of food we ate and took home - including market rate lobster, the high-end cocktails, AND the amount of food we took home, it was WELL worth it -and would have cost much MUCH more across The Bay. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

We had dinner at East Ocean.The food was so good and the service was excellent.We really enjoy the sunset view with golden gate bridge backdrop.
