Le Homestead est un authentique restaurant qui s'oriente autour du concept de la ferme à l'assiette. Il propose la cuisine élégante et rustique du chef Rob Shaner ; des cocktails spéciaux, des vins, des spiritueux, des bières, de même que du pain artisanal et des pâtisseries du chef pâtissier et du chef Chris Teixeira, semi-finaliste du prix James Beard Rising Star Chef. Le décor chaleureux et confortable laisse place aux menus de dégustation en rotation saisonnière. Ceux-ci intègrent des ingrédients de la ferme de l'établissement et de fournisseurs locaux, préparés dans une cuisine de renommée nationale. Les menus changent au moins chaque semaine et les chefs talentueux repoussent constamment les limites avec des repas de haute qualité, uniques et gastronomiques, axés sur la qualité des ingrédients. En été, la terrasse de plus de 325 m² sur le toit du Homestead dispose de 80 places et offre une vue imprenable sur les jardins biologiques du toit et les jardins suspendus. Un auvent rétractable vous protégera du soleil et de la pluie.

We made a reservation for outdoors but they had no outdoor seating when we arrived. We had to wait about an hour inside until something opened up. The hostess was nice enough to help us change tables even though we had ordered at that point. As Seinfeld once said, “you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation.”

Great experience! All the food was absolutely amazing. The rooftop is quiet and so easy to enjoy. It had a nice laidback but beautiful aesthetic. We ordered too much for 5 people but regretted nothing. Drinks were great! 100% coming back, also great for date nights/dinner with parents. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Homestead is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Everything is beautiful but unpretentious. It’s so comfortable but there are so many high quality, high value touches to the service, plates, food, drink menu - you name it. I love this place!!!

We did the black lagoon pop up which was pretty fun! Drinks were good and the food was really really good.

Open table let us make a reservation and the place closed before that. So came there and it was closed and we were allowed to stand around in the dark waiting. So not great

We didn’t know it was a popup. The service was good, but the drinks and food were terrible. I think it is just the popup menu, as we have heard so many good things about this restaurant! We are hoping to try it again after the popup is over

My favorite restaurant in Chicago. Amazing seasonal venue at a beautiful rooftop. Always take my family and friends here when they visit. Staff are friendly and food is delicious. Couldn’t speak any higher of Homestead.

Homestead on the Roof is a true gem of a restaurant. The rooftop itself is lovely, and when combined with delicious food (particularly loved the salt cod croquettes and the charred octopus) and professional and friendly service (Robert was outstanding on our visit), this is a must-visit spot. We will be back again soon.
