   Food was lovely, big portions. But the service was shocking, slow with an unfulfilled order. When questioned every member claimed “I’m new here”. Reception and bar staff were lovely and very attentive. They were a nice welcome after a long drive.

   Evening meal Food was hot. Huge portions. Lasagne was exceptional. Breakfast food, not so good, good quality but cold bacon & cold scrambled eggs. The toaster is the best toaster ever.

   Lovely food. But the staff were overwhelmed by an organised coach group coming in. We'd booked a table in the restaurant but not been made aware that it was closed for the coach group until we came for dinner, even after altering the time when we checked in. We had to sit in the bar which was busy and loud. We ended up with a long wait for food as the coach group were eating earlier than expected as well. Decided to call it quits and ordered pudding as room service so we could relax in the quiet.

   We booked a family birthday celebration meal and mentioned it on the booking form but no mention of it from staff during our visit to the restaurant. The service was incredibly slow especially as there was only one other table occupied. We were seated with no drinks menu it took over 10 mins for the waitress to come back to us we then asked for a drinks menu but it only contain a very basic menu so we end up going to the bar ourselves and purchasing them. Food was ok, not really worth the price. When we came to pay we split the bill between our rooms but ended up paying 2 services charges of 10% for one table,so if you split the bill split it between yourselves not at the till!! The actual bedroom and bedding was lovely a really comfy night sleep. Room was good restaurant not so good!

   We went back to hoilday Inn for out 10 year wedding anniversary as this is where we got married. The service was bad, it wasn't even busy the night we went. Food was over priced for what is was. So was a bit disappointed with it especially it being our anniversary evening.

   The three of us enjoyed our meals and the food was good annd served hot, especially enjoyed the crumble. The menu stated that ravioli came with a side salad but I was told that it didn’t. I declined the offer to purchase one. Hence cannot award 5 stars.

   Perfect venue for our birthday celebration. I had a pizza which was good value for money

   The service was great but the dinner was over priced at £23 for two sea bass fillets the whole bill for two plus wine was £74 which is way over priced

    Main restaurant was closed. Only bar food avaliable and it was a bit hit and miss. Would have been nice to have been told that the restaurant was closed. Used the app and it accepted our table booking and said nothing about the closure.
