Known as one of the best scratch kitchens in the area, HogsHead offers guests fresh and innovative cuisine, along with Lowcountry staples like chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits, all with the best staff in town. Ask them to recommend their favorite handcrafted cocktail or expertly pair wine from the extensive by the glass or bottle list to complement your dinner.

The ever-present Chef/Owner and Philly native John Pashak has been nominated for four James Beard Awards in the Mid-Atlantic area. All the sauces, dressings, desserts and even focaccia bread are made daily from his handwritten recipes. Local fresh catch and filet specials are offered nightly along with the full menu which includes gluten-free options.

We always love it. Great food huge portions so we always have leftovers for lunch.

Food selections were delicious and the service was very good. Our rating was lowered due to the high cost of the entrees. We did not believe that one piece of blackened red fish with risotto should have cost $48.00 - all the items seemed overpriced.

I was hoping for a more elegant experience, but I was wrong. This is a kinda cozy neighborhood restaurant with mediocre food but excellent cocktails. The place definitely needs an update. Older decor and sticky tables. My friend’s salmon looked great. My meatloaf was large quantity, low quality, simply piled on the plate. For the price, $100 each excluding tip, I expected much more.

At first, I thought the name referred to a type of BBQ casual place. However, upon entering the beautiful rustic decor displayed a fancier type restaurant. Both Hanna and Chris were attentive. The owner stopped at each table to say hi. I had the Red fish special that was delicious. My companion had the shrimp and grits. Best she ever had. Went back the next day and had the "fall off the bone" ribs with a side of scallops. Great dessert and wine menu. Pricey, however, sharable portions. They also add a surcharge if paying by card. Walking distance from the nearby Hilton Garden Inn.

Went there with family from out of town. They had been there with us before and requested to go back. Nothing disappointed

The staff was great! Food is under seasoned and over priced. I had the prime rib special. The cut of meat was gorgeous. The flavor was bland. My husband had the red fish special. Again it was under seasoned. The sides were so good! Key lime pie was great too. They don’t have a Malbec and wine list is limited. However, they did have River Dog on draft so my husband was happy! Each meal for specials was $52 which is alot for bland food.
