Serving fresh, locally and ethically sourced produce, focusing on fish and seafood, lovingly prepared to our customers from near & far.
The Hive Pavilion with wrap-around patio & a seasonal addition of the Top Marquee each offering far-reaching sea views and evening sunsets to each table.
Check in on arrival will be at the front desk in our main marquee. Please note at peak times there may be a slight delay on arrival for your table. Booked tables will be available for the time you have reserved, early access will not be permitted.

    Made special effort to book on way back from Cornwall to Hampshire - and totally fantastic. One if the best meals we’ve had in many years. Great food and very good and attentive staff. Would totally recommend and looking forward to returning soon!

    Having the seafood platter was an experience. Although quite expensive, there was lots on there and enjoyed. The fish & chips was also ordered and the squid portion was huge too... Would go again but not necessarily for the platter..

    Regular visitor to this restaurant and always a good experience. The view is fantastic and the food and service excellent.

    All the food was like warm, and the service was slow. I’m guessing the food was hanging about for a bit!

    When we were first shown our table, it was in a very windy position. We asked to be moved and were. Nonproblems. The staff were very helpful.

    Excellent well prepared food. Service friendly but very slow indeed. 50 minutes for first course and further big gaps between. Some staff rushing about while others seemingly with little to do, in spite of restaurant not being over busy.

    The Hive Cafe / Restaurant on Burton Bradstock Beach is excellent. We had breakfast and lunch twice during the week and everything was great. Ultra accommodating for dogs and that is brilliant. The food is really tasty and well cooked. The Hive breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushroom, tomato, hash brown and mushroom plus toast was great. For me personally the fact they don’t have scrambled eggs as an option is wierd, that said the chef accommodated an extra sausage to compensate was really appreciated, thank you. Loved the coffee too. As for lunch, during the week we enjoyed the battered fish sandwich, delicious crab sandwich with skinny fries and prawn salad. Staff are extremely hard working and the views are superb. The Hive is highly recommended. The one and only negative, and I accept the facilities are beach provided, but the toilets need a big revamp or a designated attendant, they are in no way compatible for such a top class food establishment.
