Dine from our Bistro Menu for some lovely dishes at amazing value. 2 courses for £17 or 3 for £20. It’s available at lunchtimes Monday – Friday and until 6:30 from Monday – Thursday. We’ve worked hard with our chefs to strip things back and keep things really simple. It’s good, hearty, tasty stuff served to you by a team who love what they do. We had booked this meal many weeks in advance and were not impressed when we were seated on the thoroughfair facing the dishwasher. The beetroot salad starter was mean with the walnuts and the mascarpone. The main course of duck was overcooked and dry. In fact an M&S Slow Cooked Aromatic Bone In Half Duck would have been far better !! The desert was vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce with (Cadburys crunchie on top), which was disappointing. We have dined in a Michelin star restaurant this summer that was 2/3 the price and a MILLION times better.

We had a delicious brunch and can really recommend the mushrooms and the slow cooked tomatoes. Excellent all round.

Dissapointing. We have eaten at Hispi before and had lovely food . They seem to be being economic with the Sunday lunch. 3 paper thin slices of beef i didnt want the yorkshire pudding but asked for extra gravy which came in a thimble sized pot and cost 3.50 extra. My husband and son shared the sirloin of beef which was 15.00 extra but we didnt expect this to be per person making their 2 course Sunday lunch 49.00 each. Our bill for 3 with a 28.00 bottle of wine and 2 small cans of beer was 193.00. The staff were lovely but we think it was very overpriced. We wont be returning.

Horrendous service on a day that I really needed more than two chatting servers who didn’t want to be at work. Kitchen was on the same vibe.
