Ate here midweek. The restaurant has a set menu of two or three courses. The menu offers a pretty good range of options from fish to vegetarian to meat. The food arrived well cooked. The starters could have done with some bread or toast. For example the whipped cheese starter was nice but too much to eat by itself. Service was friendly.

Fantastic lunch yesterday at Hinnies. Amazing food and great choice on seat menu which was great value for quality of the food. A young lady called Marnie served us and she was so lovely,attentive and helpful with menu choice. First time I’ve visited for a long while but will definitely be back!

Was really looking forward to visiting, having heard good things, but somewhat disappointed in the reality. Food was not anything special. Small portions. The local fish dish was dry and unappealing and unattractively presented. Took some relatives for a special occasion and felt a little embarrassed that it didn’t live up to expectations.

Its always a joy to visit Hinnies. We always know that the food will be excellent and the service polite, friendly and courteous. We are happy to return as many times as we can. Thank you.

The fixed price menu is good value and varied. A good wine list. a selection of cocktails and mocktails. Sea views.

We’ve been here a few times but unfortunately we won’t be back. Young girl waiting on our table attempted to give our staters to 2 tables before us. Our table was so so close to the other diners we could hear their every word. Food ok, not as good as usual. They had a busy 70th birthday party in. Unfortunately because of this I believe the service and food wasn’t up to scratch. A shame as we have been here many times and it’s a firm favourite when we visit the north east.
