The mackerel and aubergine starter was a little bland the aubergine especially lacked any oomph! I had the main fish of the day - cod , which was was lovely well cooked. The pudding (choc mousse) was delicious , probably the best bit! I’ve given a lower score for the sides mainly, the triple cooked chips were disappointing, really dry and tasteless and did in fact feel and taste like they’d been triple cooked they were so dehydrated. The seasonal veg was a very meagre portion of shredded cabbage and a couple of artichoke hearts and a scrap of sundried tomato , nice but not enough for the cost it was barely enough for a spoonful each. I think if the sides had been a better quality I’d have score it al higher because the service was very good , friendly and apologetic when things were overlooked or took a while. And I do think £29 is good for three courses with the current state of the economy it’s hard to find somewhere that does good quality reasonably priced food. It’s a shame Hinnies was let down by the side dishes , it’s not my first visit here and last time they were better so maybe just an off night.

Absolutely class outfit 👍. Food is excellent, ambience has a lovely vibe and great value too. At only £24 for a 2 course set menu on a Saturday evening, you’d have to go a long way to get better value.

Always a delight! Took my brother and wife to celebrate his birthday. Great food and lovely service.

Yet another great meal. The seasonally changing menu and in particular the fish dishes are imaginative and delicious will definitely be back again

We were travelling through the area and wanted to have seafood near the sea, so we booked Hinnies and were not disappointed. The athmosphere, food and service were impressive and we thoughroughly enjoyed the dinner.

We had a lovely 3 course lunch at Hinnies on 25th March. For the quality of food £29 per person is incredible value and we will definitely return. The service was also spot on.

We had a pleasant lunch at Hinnies they were doing two courses for £20 I had the scotch egg in black pudding starter and steak with twice cooked fat chips My wife had goats cheese with walnuts to start and Breast of chicken for mains The service was attentive and efficient by pleasant staff It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and we will return
