Food was requested with a minimum of spices....but to no avail. Very hot to the taste buds.

The sauces were terrific, but the chicken and beef were over cooked and dry. Therefore, the sauces were necessary. Also, we were there on a Saturday night. The music has got to go.

Jewel of Himalaya is appropriately named “jewel” the food is yummy. The staff is warm and friendly. The service is excellent. And it’s a truly fun place for a birthday celebration.

This was our second time dining at Jewel of Himalaya and it did not disappoint. Our party of 4 ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and had a collective total of 6 beverages and the total bill was under $200 - very reasonable for a Saturday night out $100 per couple. The restaurant is lovely aesthetically, and the night we dined there was a fabulous guitar player that just sealed the vibe. The only reason I took a point off for ambiance was that we were sat inside at the tall floor to ceiling windows that leaked rain as it was pouring outside. Our hosts were aware and of course were kind and accommodating (it wasn’t so bad that we had to move but enough that they came over to ask if we were disturbed) — a leak in the ceiling is a leak in the ceiling, so I couldn’t give a 5 for this particular meal’s ambiance but it would not remotely deter me from going there again.

Food, service, and ambiance was outstanding. The waiters were nothing but kind and always there to make sure we needed anything as well as making sure all empty plates were off the table the second they were done. Loved the experience.

Really excellent Indian food plus Nepal specialties. Small portions are a little expensive, but worth trying. I keep going back.

Second time going. First time was 5 stars for party of 2. Service was spot on. This visit was for 6. Decided to bring the family and service was attentive but riddled with mistakes and mishaps. We ordered drinks and appetizers and told the waiter we would wait to order main course after appetizers arrived. We received 1/2 the appetizers within minutes before drinks which took 20 minutes. Drink order was all wrong but they did their best to fix it as quickly as possible. After 40 minutes of sitting we didn't receive the second half of appetizers. Waiter forgot to place the order. Once we inquired he placed the order and it was out in 10 minutes. With all the confusion with the drink order and appetizers we finally go the waiter to settle down and order our mains. At this point the owner saw the disfunction and he was watching over our table making sure we got what we ordered. No issues at that point. Our waiter was a little confused but overall the meal was delicious and we were never rushed.
