Really lovely roast chicken. Tasted like a home roast and 7 potatoes! Veg fresh and nice. Very good. Family near us had an ipad on really loud for thier child which was inconsiderate to say the least. Otherwise very good.

Had roast dinner very nice however service is very slow and your left for a long period of time between courses and had to ask for dessert menu as they took too long to come back to see if we had finished our dinner. Also forget our water requests twice. Had to ask for glass of water! Service needs to be faster and more prompt!!

I am so glad the Hiltonbury Farmhouse has some decent vegan food options now. I came here for a Sunday roast with a friend and the vegan wellington was delicious. So enjoyed the cherry & coconut sundae too but it would have been good to have more than one option for pudding. Maybe a vegan brownie or similar. But nice that there was something tasty and it wasn't just ice cream! Also I noticed there were no vegan options on the mini pudding & coffee, if there had been I'd have definitely gone for that. Finally we were there to belatedly celebrate my 40th birthday and the pub kindly brought us an extra plate of waffles and strawberries with a happy birthday message, this was a lovely surprise although I couldn't eat any as it wasn't vegan. But to be fair I appreciate that I hadn't mentioned being vegan on the booking form. My friend "had to" eat it along with her other pudding.. Obviously not much of a hardship but a shame nonetheless. I will undoubtedly be back. Would like to try one of the outdoor booths in the summer.

Great Sunday roasts,the staff were all attentive, polite and ready to help.busy but still not rushed and shoved out.

There was a mollusc inside the bottom of the glass of water, picture taken, that we were served as part of our order. The initial response of the young waiting staff was to giggle before one of them apologised and provided a clean glass of water. We were offered a free drink as part of the apology. Suffice to say the experience ruined our evening.
