Higher Ground is a British bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers.

The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday at dinner and at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

At lunch a £40pp seasonal sharing menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal sharing menu at £60pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.

We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine!

Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted via the OpenTable online reservation platform. For parties of 7x guests and over, the seasonal sharing menu is served.

Absolutely incredible every time. The BEST restaurant in Manchester. Everything is so well thought through. The menu amazes me every time, the wine is gorgeous, service is outstanding. Well done guys 👏🏻

We cannot recommend Higher Ground enough. The food was exceptional, the wine delicious and the service and ambience second to none. We have already recommended it to all our friends and will be returning next time we visit Manchester.

Service was friendly and informative. Food was excellent, although pricey. Wine was over priced, with limited choice for less expensive wines. I had mentioned when booking that it was my friend's birthday and this was acknowledged when we arrived, would have appreciated some little freebie, but this didn't happen. Would recommend the food and the friendly staff,but with a couple of tweaks ( more reasonably priced wines and recognition of a birthday/ anniversary) it would score more highly.

We had an amazing evening at Higher Ground yesterday evening, we tried the seasonal tasting menu and every single player was delicious! The staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond.

Delicious food and genuinely lovely staff. Only comment would be that food came very quickly - might have been more relaxed to have slightly longer between courses.
