Higher Ground is a bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers.

The restaurant is open Wed-Sat at dinner and Fri-Sat lunch. On Wed/Thurs, reservations can almost always be welcomed at 5:30pm, ensuring that you can arrive at the theatre, show or stadium in good time. If you're unable to find a 5:30pm reservation available, please email hello@highergroundmcr.co.uk

At lunch a £38pp seasonal sharing menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal sharing menu at £58pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.

We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine! Both menu options are available at the kitchen bar counter.

Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted. For parties of 7x guests and over, the seasonal sharing menu is served.

A delightful culinary experience, it felt like I was on ‘the set of ‘The Bear’ . The food was beautifully presented and tasted very fresh. I will be back.

What a little gem. Booked 10 mins before a 7pm reservation on a Thursday! Truly brilliant staff from the moment we walked in. Food was exquisite. Sitting in front of the kitchen is really immersive and the chefs serve directly to you. Will absolutely return

Super friendly and informative service. Good atmosphere, was great seeing the open kitchen and such a big team working so well! Loved the sharing menu concept. Portion sizes great for me… my husband felt that there should have been more food for the price, especially as we did pick one extra from the menu too. However I appreciated the freshness and quality of the food, so for me I try felt the pricing was fair. Highlight for me was the bean cassoulet under the pork main plate. And the pasta dish was also delicious and perfectly indulgent!
