A superlative experience. Food is that beautiful Peruvian mashup of Japanese/South American flavors, and then this chef elevates it through artistic presentation and some unexpected creative approaches. We highly recommend the cocktails to accompany the food - they soar above mixology and intentionally blend ingredients from the kitchen with inventive bar fusion, and really add to the experience. This would have been a five star review just for the food and cocktails. But it didn't stop there. The service provides a warm, extravagant welcome that seals the memories of this place. Our main server was so much fun and so knowledgeable, we let her pick all of our dishes, and we nicknamed her "The Chairman." Chef hung out in the corners, watching peoples' reactions to see how every dish landed. All of the runners knew tons of info about the food, and were part of the experience. Chef visited every table, and we loved hearing about how he'd designed the experience so that dining captures the memories of being together. He and the team really understand why people choose to go to dinner and made the occasion truly unique and special. As a customer, I could feel the intention in every bite and every experience. Truly execeptional - oh, and did I mention that compared to big city prices in the states, the dinner check was a steal? Unbelievable value for an experience we will remember forever. Big thanks to the Chef and team and especially The Chairman!!

Liked the experience; we tried many of the courses. Liked best Tiradito Nikkei, Ceviche and Conchas negras.

Everything was delicious, especially the small plates. Loved the creativity. It’s refreshing to find food that stands out from the usual flavors.

A truly hidden gem in the heart of Santurce... the food, the service, the ambiance and the cocktails are top-notch... if you are in PR o its just a normal Friday, Sur is the place.
