first time here for lunch and definitely not the last. First and foremost, our server Martine was wonderful. Got the answers to all of our questions and was personable yet professional. We had guacamole which to my pallet was a tattoo spicy, but my husband loved it and then we shared a fig and pear flatbread, which was definitely yummy. Recommend and will return.

There are four different areas where guests might be seated: near the entrance; in the space where there is live entertainment; a sort of lounging area with low, cushioned benches and low tables (which I liked); and outdoors. The menu is not extensive but everything looked enticing - I had an excellent Green Goddess salad including a generous amount of chicken. The recent remodeling of this property included nice, modern, spacious, and clean rest rooms. Maybe not the most important thing, but a huge, positive contrast with the facilities at many of Santa Fe's eating places. I am plagued with a high sensitivity to noisy places - anything but a crypt makes conversation difficult with anyone I am with - but High Desert is no worse than anywhere else in this regard. One thing that could be improved is parking. There are not enough spaces for even less than a full restaurant and some of the spaces are marked as reserved for the adjacent Jackalope store. I ended up parking at a strip mall in the next block.

Space is beautiful. Food was cold and mediocre. Service was completely indifferent. I hope they can do better.

Hidden gem in Santa Fe. Went to see a show at this venue and decided to try High Desert after recommendations from my foodie group. It did not disappoint. Had a small, one-person kitchen, but our food was fresh, scratch made and delicious. My husband had a flatbread, and I had a quinoa bowl. Will definitely be back.

Our reservation was cancelled as we arrived to the restaurant, there was a wedding ceremony. I cannot give a bad review to the place nor service or food just to the fact that they were taking reservations knowing there was a wedding and would not be able to accommodate any other guest. We booked at Sazón an hour later and it is probably one of the greatest places to dine around Santa Fe. Thank you

The curried chicken salad was delicious. The jicama "tortilla" was a delightful surprise. Omar was attentive and knowledgeable.
