Great suggestions from staff on drinks and food recommendations. Staff was friendly and we dined inside.

Food was amazing. Our waiter Patrick was great! He really made the whole place worth the hype. Answered all our questions on the food and was super knowledgeable of the area. Will definitely dine again!

Chef Jordan is talented and values quality product which is a winning formula for upstate New York’s first sophisticated sushi restaurant. To top it off the service was spectacular, Kaylie was top notch!

I had written a review before that I am not sure was saved. I will write it again as our experience at hidden fish was so awful, it should not be overlooked. We had a 7:30 reservation that we booked weeks before. We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant but were not seated for 10 minutes as the table was not cleaned. We waited a long time for our server to greet us so we ordered our appetizers and our drinks when she finally arrived. Our server was slow taking the order as she did not appear to be familiar with the hand held device used for placing orders. 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered was not available so we stuck with just the 2. Our drinks arrived promptly and they were good. We did not see our server for another 30 minutes when she came back to take out entree order. She apologized for the delay in our appetizers and explained they were delayed due to a large take out order. At 8:30 the first appetizer came out. It was obviously burned ; charred on the bottom and black on the edges. It was supposed to be Japanese oysters Rockefeller. We called our server over and told her they were burned and that we did not want them. She called the manager over. The manager apologized and said that she would ask the kitchen to remake them. We said that we did not want them and that we had waited so long already and that we just wanted our second appetizer and the entrees that we ordered. She came back a few minutes later to tell us that our meal would be comped and explained that the second appetizer we ordered was no longer available. She apologized profusely. At this point we had been there more than an hour and had nothing to eat. So we left in search of food. We went around the corner to Gilda’s and within 5 minutes of being seated we had drinks and the appetizers we ordered. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I wish I went to Gilda’s first. It seems hidden fish prioritizes take out orders over those who made reservations. I am not sure I will ever return.

The service was really excellent. Our waiter was sweet, attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the food immensely and it was a different experience from the sushi we’d been exposed to in the area. There was more variety of fish/seafood and a very different presentation (no cream cheese here folks). The entire menu is GF! I loved the seaweed salad and uni toast!

Super fresh sushi, with a creative spin. Attentive, professional, and friendly server. The only issue was with kitchen timing — my entree was served a while after my table mate’s. Despite this, I would eat there again.
