Located in the Historic Villa del Sol in Downtown Fullerton, Hidalgo's offers the finest cuisine from Mexico, Spain, and Latin America, as well as award winning cocktails. They have comfortable indoor and courtyard dining, as well as a craft bar where guests can enjoy and relax. Open for brunch and dinner, Hidalgo's is the perfect place for couples, friends, and families to enjoy its warm and inviting atmosphere. Their tortillas are not corn. They contain gluten but they call them corn tortillas. Unfortunately I was sick the next day after eating the chips. Please have purly corn tortillas on hand for GF people. I love Mexican food because most dishes can be GF. Staff was extremely nice. Our waitress was so kind and apologetic, even though it wasn’t her fault.

Passion margarita was delicious & carnitas as well very good flavor and not dry . Fresh corn tortillas as well.

We went for brunch. The meat on both dishes was very good. The dishes could have used more sauce, kind of dry. Over decor is nice and there is an outside area as well for seating.

First time here for a girls brunch. We all loved the ambience, the food, cocktails and our sever was warm and friendly. Will definitely be back

The appetizers and drinks were good and came out fast. The service by the waiter was good as well. The main course on the other hand was slow (over 1 hour to get our food) and the food was mediocre. I had higher expectations for this place.

I’ve been hooked on Hidalgo’s for a while now. Their brunch is so delicious. They have amazing cocktails and the service is always great. I definitely make a point to bring all my favorite people here and they never disappoint.

Overall, Hidalgo’s was decent for me. We went during their brunch hours. Not a big menu selection, there wasn’t any bacon. It’s a Mexican restaurant and they don’t even have any horchata or aquas frescas. I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada with their breakfast potatoes. It was pretty good. My kids ordered the tres leches french toast. My kids really loved them, they were really good but I probably could have ordered one plate and split them up. The French toast were huge. Chips and salsa were good. I ordered a cocktail and I enjoyed it. The outdoor dining space is cute. I probably won’t go back unless they add more variety to their menu. I had no problem with the service. Everyone was nice and making a reservation for a big group was easy and they were accommodating.

Went for Valentine’s Day and they changed the price of their special and would not honor the price they were advertising. Food was very salty but our waitress was amazing. Solid 2.5-3/5 stars

Menu: I’ve never had a bad dish at Hidalgo’s. The fixed menu (Valentine’s day) had a good selection. I was a little disappointed when we were told that our normal cocktail choices were not available and we had to select what was listed on the fixed cocktail menu. I could tell our server was new. Though I appreciate good service, our table was visited so often that it became kind of annoying. Hidalgo’s has become our Valentine’s Day tradition (5 years) and we like it.
