I LOVE this place 4th time visiting when I have business in town. Worth a try, great food and wine selection and the outdoor area and grounds are beautiful especially at sunset.

We tried a few small plates- whipped spam and roasted carrots. Both were so good! The whipped spam is a must try, surprisingly delicious paired with hot sauce and sweet pickles on sesame crackers. The carrots were charred on the ends and done to perfection. We had a few cocktails; both excellent. For the big plates, my husband had the steak- very good but probably wouldn’t have again. Not much meat for the price of the meal. I had the trout, deboned, in a yummy mashed potato and it was excellent. Topped off the meal with the Temptations dessert wine. The view was breathtaking. We will be back!

The service, food and atmosphere was outstanding! The wines are very good and warranted several bottles to bring home.

Interesting menu with not a whole lot of choices but quite a bit of variety. Out of the 4 of us, we had the steak, Cornish game hen, trout, and pasta dish. The trout was good but I am not a fan of bones. I should have known better. The people who got steak, were disappointed. They said they would not order it again. The Cornish game hen got great marks, as did the pasta (Lagostini?) The sauces on both were excellent. We also shared an order of cornbread which we enjoyed with the sorghum butter. The service is wonderful. The people who served us could not have been better.

Really enjoyed our experience at Hickory... the whipped Spam appetizer was unique & elevated, very well balanced with the pickles & hot sauce... I had the trout (which was great) & my wife really liked her steak. The Tres Leches was unique... very different, brought back memories of fruit loops of all things. Great restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant and great views. Over priced for the quality of food. We had 6 in our party and no one was very enthusiastic about the high prices, average quality of food and the small portions.

This is one of the few local restaurants where you will get thoughtfully designed dishes. This is not food that came off the Sysco truck. We found everything to be delicious. Since the menu changes, it’s hard to recommend something, but surprising favorites included the whipped spam small plate and fig ice cream.
