This magical Edwardian building has been transformed to a beautiful bar, restaurant and private room where we hope to deliver to our customers an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Newcastle.
Join us to dine in our elegant brasserie which aims to serve classic dishes, including a generous Sunday lunch, using the very best ingredients with plenty of flavor but no fuss or in the bar for some light bites and fantastic drinks curated by a team of some of Newcastle best mixologists.
Above all we want you to relax, enjoy the music and feel at home here at Hibou Blanc.
Please note our bar operates on a walk-in only basis, and you can book our main restaurant to enjoy both our lunch and our a la carte menu. When joining for Afternoon Tea please state this in your booking notes.

Restaurant and bar areas very pleasing/comfortable. Service efficient and pleasant so expected a “ Sunday roast” to remember unfortunately not. Starter was cheese soufflé which I expected to be light and fluffy, it was tasty but stodgy although nicely presented. Main course was at best ok, my lamb was “chewy” served on top of wet mashed potato, the other vegetables again were ok This meal is reasonably expensive @£33.50 so I have to say overall disappointing I could have enjoyed more and paid less in a decent pub, the coffee was nicer and a little cheaper than the rip off prices offered by three national coffee shop outlets. Great place to go for a drink in a quality surroundings at a reasonable price also I’m told their steak night is worth a visit, maybe sometime in future.

The food was very good and the price was decent. I did think the lighting was a little dark for the room in comparison to the cocktail bar and the table was unusually low for the chairs but everything else was great.

Visited as part of Restaurant Week. Superb service and food. The adjoining bar was very busy but it didn't affect the Restaurant area. Couldn't fault it really.

Good but a bit pricey, got 3 course for restaurant week for 2 people, and some drinks. The bills went to £1xx. It was delicious but the cost was so high.
