All Omakase will incur a 20% gratuity. 24-hour cancellation policy or your deposit is forfeited. Due to preparation methods, the Tomahawk Experience must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. There is a $150 per Tomahawk deposit required to book the experience. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required on all Tomahawk Experiences. Failure to provide a 24-hour notice will result in loss of deposit.

The waitress gave put in the wrong order which we ate and then served us desert that was totally wrong. Won’t be back.

We frequently dine at YAMA Waverly in Charlotte and it is Fantastic on all fronts(service, atmosphere, friendliness, food). We wanted to try something different so we dined at Hestia which is much further from our home. Of note: The staff needs to smile when greeting and seating its guests as this was the first negative that we encountered and it sets the tone for what is to follow. Definitely not a 'welcoming' greeting and seating by any means. We were initially sat down right beside the server station and asked to move knowing it would be a very expensive dinner and we wanted to enjoy the experience. While they accommodated us, our next seat was by the bathroom corridor in the back of the restaurant. We, literally, walked right by an open table in the 'hip' section and were led to the very back of the restaurant by a gentlemen that could not manage a smile. Negative #2! The energetic and stylish portion of the restaurant is in the middle section between the bar and sushi bar and we were not close to it so we could not experience the true essence of the restaurant; but we did pay full price. Service was good with exception of waiter forgetting to refill empty water glass(s) on several occasions; and food was good as well. But food was not great, which the price demands, in our opinion! Lastly, they automatically apply a 20% gratuity(as we found out after the tab was presented) to parties of 5; of which I have never encountered. Usually applies to Parties of 6 or more! This alone is a negative in that the servers do not have to earn a very high 'tip' rate, but, instead, can just show up and get paid as there is zero motivation to do better! Hestia, in our opinion, needs to earn its high pricing each and every night instead of just going through the motions. A comprehensive management review is suggested. YAMA wins!

We apologize for taking you to a table when you had requested a booth.We immediately accommodated your request upon your dissatisfaction of the table you were originally escorted to. Unfortunately for larger parties, we have limited seating and only two booths available for your party size. We understand that taste is subjective, and while we strive to craft dishes that appeal to a wide range of palates,we recognize that preferences can vary. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Manager great checked on us, Busboy great as well. Actual waitress unfortunately mediocre (took our utensils and we had to ask for new ones when our entre came). Took my plate (empty) without asking while my wife was still eating (we were sharing). Other waiters/waitress were doing a good job from what we observed and engaged with their customers. Ours was not welcoming, just going through the motions. Wish we had gone to steak 48 or Del frisco. This place seems good for a business dinner but was a bad choice for a romantic evening. Take our feedback for what it’s worth to improve the restaurant for others. Thank you.

Excellent service with great food! This place is pricey but an amazing culinary experience. Buergen and Amanda took great care of us!

We had the omakase and it was incredible. Definitely a true omakase. The food was so unique and we enjoyed everything! The staff was also very attentive and welcoming. The sushi chef and his sous chef were friendly and really made the night.
