Heritage is family owned and operated by Chef Philip Pretty and sister Lauren Pretty. Our lively indoor dining room was built in 1922 as a craftsman house. Walk inside to an open kitchen, request bar seating to watch us cook over a live fire Santa Maria grill. Located in the Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach on the corner of 7th & Saint Louis Ave. Heritage Restaurant uses sustainable meat & seafood, and Farmers Market produce. Growing our own produce at Heritage Farm right up the street. Certified blue, green, and maintain a zero-waste kitchen. One red and green star Michelin awarded. We serve a tasting menu only. We politely decline modifications. Please specify all dietary restrictions/allergies when booking your reservation. Our menu is seasonal, and subject to daily changes.

Ce menu dégustation étoilé au guide MICHELIN a la particularité de s'approvisionner auprès de la ferme Heritage, située à deux pas de là. Composé de plusieurs plats et de saison, il intègre des fruits et des légumes que Phillip et Lauren Pretty, la fratrie propriétaire, se procurent à la ferme deux fois par semaine. La viande et les fruits de mer proviennent également de Californie, notamment le poisson pêché dans les eaux de Long Beach. Ces produits se retrouvent dans des plats époustouflants comme les toasts au crabe dormeur à la crème d'avocat et aux betteraves cuites sous vide.

It was my first time dining at Heritage and must say that every aspect of the experience was fantastic. Each bite was divine and was exciting to taste the complexity of flavors change from one moment to the next. 10/10 will be back. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience. I felt humanity pouring back into my soul with each bite.

This restaurant never fails to impress. Each time we go back they continue to upgrade an already fantastic experience. The waitstaff is the best group I have ever encountered in a lifetime of dining. They are relentless in their objective of making this an unforgettable gastronomic event.

The food and service was really great, but unfortunately that's where the good news ends. My issue with the restaurant was that it was one of the hottest days of the year and I'm guessing their AC was broken. That resulted in them leaving the front door of the restaurant open and a lot of flies were buzzing around. I understand that they can't control everything, but when I'm spending $600 for a two person dinner you can afford some temp AC or a screen for the door. At a minimum it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the flies and annoyance as I was literally swatting them away because they were landing on my food and drinks. So yes, the food was good, but at that price point the fact that my wife and I are sitting there sweating and shooing away flies that are landing on our plates was really unacceptable. Not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" or a heads up that the AC was out or anything. Food lived up to the hype, but based on everything else it was really a letdown. They did give my wife a birthday card, which was really thoughtful, and sent us home with some tea and honey, which we appreciated. Not sure if that was due to the issues or if everyone got it after their meal.

We had a good dinner… everything was fine but nothing great. Nothing I’d be like “omg that was amazing!” Service was fine but also nothing special. I’m a true Michelin star foodie… not sure what I missed? Absolutely not worth the money.

Excellent well prepared and presented food. The first dessert course was unique and special, however, the last dessert course despite the nice presentation was just ok and not worth the extra course.

A bucket list experience for us. Did not disappoint. Staff, especially , Keon and Nicholas were outstanding. Food was otherworldly and loved everything! Our city, our Michelin eatery and could not be more proud! Well done Heritage!

While this restaurant has a Michelin star, half the items on tasting menu were ‘okay.’ The servers were super friendly but the hostess was not. We dine out ALOT and for the money, I would not go back to this restaurant again.

We really enjoyed eating at Heritage. The food and service are so good that I can see why they were awarded a Michelin star. The only issues we had was that there was a loud party of 4 at one table and as a result everyone else increased their sound level so that by the end of the evening we couldn't hear each other across a small table. Service is friendly and attentive but not at all obsequious. We thought that the $150 per person fixed price menu was very reasonable, given the quality of the food. What is not reasonable is the $25 valet parking fee. Luckily we were able to find street parking without difficulty.
