The food and service was really great, but unfortunately that's where the good news ends. My issue with the restaurant was that it was one of the hottest days of the year and I'm guessing their AC was broken. That resulted in them leaving the front door of the restaurant open and a lot of flies were buzzing around. I understand that they can't control everything, but when I'm spending $600 for a two person dinner you can afford some temp AC or a screen for the door. At a minimum it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the flies and annoyance as I was literally swatting them away because they were landing on my food and drinks. So yes, the food was good, but at that price point the fact that my wife and I are sitting there sweating and shooing away flies that are landing on our plates was really unacceptable. Not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" or a heads up that the AC was out or anything. Food lived up to the hype, but based on everything else it was really a letdown. They did give my wife a birthday card, which was really thoughtful, and sent us home with some tea and honey, which we appreciated. Not sure if that was due to the issues or if everyone got it after their meal.
