Delicious seasonal food. Went here with my partner for their birthday and they loved it. The restaurant even gave us a free mug to celebrate! Deeeefinitely recommend.

The only way I can describe it is that the food didn't live up to the menu descriptions. It all sounded great on paper but it didn't come together well- e.g. the halloumi sticks were too smoked and the brussels sprouts were on the bitter side. My least favourite dish was the tempeh shawarma slides- the condiments were not related to shawarma and the tempeh was too chunky and tasteless (the way tempeh can be). It was almost unpleasant to eat. The service was great, but the food left us underwhelmed. Good food can be cheap, but paying these prices ($20 for a small dish) probably heightened our expectations, but I don't think it was worth it. Important note: I've been here for brunch and it was great, so it may just be an off night or a dinner menu thing!

Another lovely evening at HFCB. Great, friendly service. A lovely selection of dishes to enjoy for us. We prefer a few small plates to share and that is another reason we love dining here.

What a gem! We had a wonderful celebration brunch on the patio. Everyone raved about the home fries and I particularly enjoyed the chicken and waffle. Service was attentive.

Five of us had a wonderful evening on the patio celebrating our nephews high school graduatiipn. The food was amazing - highlights were the halibut, brussel sprouts and smashburger, along with the cocktails and the cider flights (we let our server recommend the three ciders) to try. The patio is beautiful and secluded from the traffic on Harbord. Best of all was the service.. very friendly, welcoming and professional. We will be back!

Always a favourite neighborhood spot. Their crispy brussel sprouts are excellent. Over all, their menu has something to accommodate everyone, fine shareable dishes too. Very pleasant and accommodating staff.

Nice little outdoor patio. Brussels sprouts and sliders were delicious. Buttermilk chicken was very good too, but more like a good general Tao chicken (sweet and spicy). The kale salad was very nice. Would have liked a bit larger portion. The saganaki was very nice. Didn’t LOVE the birria bites. Overall, food was quite yummy. Nice selection of ciders as well!
