Hen’s Teeth is an independent events venue on Blackpitts, Dublin 8.

We have a love for great food, art, music and culture and the space where they all come together.

We went as a group last night for the Christmas sharing menu which was very disappointing! It was extremely bad value for money with tiny portions of food served.

Food was very disappointing; we had to ask for plates multiple times, I was using my napkin as a plate. The bread was stale burger buns

Amazing experience. Went there with a large group and it was deadly. Amazing food and great service too.

To be honest, we must have come on a bad night. We were overcharged for the 'cheese plate' €14 instead of €11, the cheese plate itself being 3 slices of the same type of cheese and a few jacobs crackers and some jam. The chicken wings were dry with no sauce, just a very plain green mayo type garnish on the bottom of the plate for €14. The menu is very limited and we were told they had no cheese croquettes or the hallumi flatbread that night, leaving very few options. We were also told this after we had been looking at the menus for about 15 mins. They had the same playlist on of about 5 songs and they played at the river by groove armada about 4 times in the space that we were there. We were sat beside the toilet and when I asked could we sit somewhere else, we were told an engagement party was coming in for the rest of the tables that evening. I understand you cant give away tables if they're booked for parties but if they had of told us we had to be gone by a certain time we would have preferred a nicer table. The reviews were really good so I was really disappointed but maybe we just came on a bad night. Just overall we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff, would it try again on a different night as I think they were just all over the place that night.

They were closed. We made a reservation, confirmed our reservation, and then walked a mile from our hotel to this restaurant only to learn once we got there that it was closed. No one contacted us, let us know, nothing. We had to scramble to find another dinner spot in a foreign city.

What a cool venue, every patterned jumpsuit and limited edition giclèe screenprint in Dublin was in the house. Delicious tacos and share plates with fresh ingredients that pinged (it was El Milagro’s turn in the kitchen). Friendly easygoing staff. Infectious beats drifting in from the bar. Listen, we were possibly swayed from the start by being out without the kids for the first time in forever, so there was a major hit of kiddyless giddiness in the air. But 5 out of 5 and then some! 💫💫💫💫💫

We went to the Mexican Pop up and it was great. The food was delicious, the service was great. The music was a little too loud, but I guess the target for that restaurant are young folks.
