The food was decent; we didn't have pho, but I'd return to try it. Some things were fantastic, such as the summer rolls (especially the vegetarian ones), the garlic noodles, and the bun. Some items were less great, like the banh mi and the rice dishes. We went the day after the grand opening, so things still seemed a little chaotic and the restaurant wasn't very clean. We'll be back to try again.

This was my second experience, the first was a Saturday night which was painfully noisy with very slow service. No table busing contributed to the chaos. Drinks were even slower to come with out correct glassware which was ridiculous. The same and in some cases even worse experience on a Wednesday evening was inexcusable. Hardly a packed house with a frantic wait staff was really a shame at the price. I don’t think this commentary will impact the crowds but maybe serve as a warning.

This was or first visit to Hen and we will definitely be back. Service was exceptional, food was delicious and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Went to Hen for the first time this past Saturday. We had made 7:15 reservations. There was a relatively short wait (walk ins had an hour wait). The food was very good albeit higher priced than at comparable restaurants. The servers were pleasant although not very attentive. There was also a “kitchen miscommunication” which resulted in us needing to follow up on an entree that did not come out with the rest. Fortunately, the owner(?) gave us a discount to make up for it. All in all, a good enough experience for us to want to go back.

First impression upon entering is that it is a lovely space, but the music was annoyingly loud. It is also repetitive. I told our waiter that I don't eat anything spicy. We asked if the clams were spicy and were told no. They arrived with sliced hot peppers on top. There was a spicy sauce accompaniment to one of the other items as well. Other than that we enjoyed the food. The place was not crowded and there seemed to be enough servers but the pace of the service was somewhat off. It took a while to order our first drink and the server had to be flagged down to order another. We were never asked if we wanted anything else before the check arrived, etc. The restaurant adds a service charge for credit card payments.

I dined at Hen on a Monday evening with friends and the restaurant was busy. We were surprised at the beautiful decor: someone spent a lot of time and money putting this place together. I am familiar with Vietnamese food and was very impressed by the food. We shared appetizers then each got our own main dish. The summer rolls and coconut shrimp were excellent. I then had a bun dish that consisted of vermicelli and salad with marinated grilled pork and sugar cane shrimp. Beautifully prepared and very tasty. One friend got a version of the same dish with a spring roll instead of the shrimp, the other friend got pho and really enjoyed that (I will be back for a bowl when the weather is a little cooler). Prices are moderate and service was quick and attentive. Vietnamese is an Asian cuisine that is under-represented in our area. Hen is a welcome addition to our dining scene.

First timer. Shout out to Anthony the host. He was so helpful, friendly and gracious. I let the owner know as well. Asked Noah, our waiter was most popular and good. He suggested, dumplings, fried mini crepes, and summer roll, and some other items not for me. I added chicken wings and a Baguette sandwich. I loved the dumplings, fried mini crepes and the sandwich. Summer roll was not for me and Noah took it off the bill - thank you! Overall I would need to go back again to try other items as there is a lot of items on the menu. Agree w others that it’s noisy and the service needs some TLC. Noah was lovely but it’s busy and I saw the owner helping which says a lot.
