Situé au centre-ville de Windsor, le Hearth Restaurant and Pub est un pub gastronomique et une pizzeria. Occupant un bâtiment historique rénové, construit en 1902, le Hearth Restaurant and Pub affiche une atmosphère industrielle classique avec des briques apparentes et de grandes fenêtres. It's a lovely spot with a nice location. That said... No one likes to work on Labor Day. I sure didn't, when I worked in the industry for 2.5 decades. Still, it comes with the territory. I suspect that was the issue with our experience. The server was NOT into it. Maybe she is just generally egregious. Who is to say? But it cost my date and a a saw-buck to hang-out with her and, it was not worth the price of admission. In fact, instead of ordering dinner after a lame 45 minutes, we decided to leave, despite the fact that we drove there from another town specifically to go on a much needed date after OUR OWN long work week. We ordered an app that was supposed to come with pancetta and chives. It didn't. No big deal. But, when we told our server, she simply shrugged and stated, "Oh, yeah. We are out of that stuff" and walked away. Later, she asked us if we were "ready to order" a few times. We inquired after the "Special" that was advertised. She explained that they had lamb chops, and pointed to a supplemental menu on the table that reflected a different special, then said with some degree of irritation, "Oh, that is the menu from yesterday. It's not right." Other things happend (Or, didn't happen). We were going to order a steak and maybe the lamb. But, the cost of the two drinks we ordered, ( I don't bulk at $15 cocktails anymore. But, I think it is reasonable to expect that they be prepared well and in a pleasent environment) combined with the general lack of enthusiasm from everyone (other than the very nice hostess) and the mediocre food we DID try (Luke-warm truffle fries and deviled eggs) inspired us to go home and make a pizza of our own. Here's the thing, maybe we were there on an off night, the server had a bad day, etc. I understand. But, these days, when the compition is already fierce and prices are sky-rocketing, you can at least acknowledge that your patrons chose you and give them to satisfaction of paying attention.

My co diner order a dinner fish taco that was suppose to come with lime crema which the kitchen did not have prepared. They failed to tell the waitress. They served it wh8ch my co diner d8d not find what she wanted. They should have told her that there was none. Buy the time they made it the food was cold.

It seems a little unreasonable to not substitute carrots for brussel sprouts on a dish.

The atmosphere and view are amazing. Fish and chips were absolutely delicious. This will definitely become our usual after work place!!

Well, I was really looking forward to your chicken entree, and the restaurant had run out. I love this dinner and usually have it every time that I come in. So, I ordered a pizza instead, and it okay. Next time I'm back to the chicken dinner.

We shared the pizza of the day (Mango/Habanero) and it was delicious. Drinks were spot on; a good selection of beers and nice atmosphere; competent wait staff.

We had an amazing meal with a friend. The salmon mignon was outstanding, and the disco fries were a hit. Excellent service, and the price for the quality and presentation was quite reasonable. We love Hearth!

Went for Father’s Day, food and service were great. Had the Scottish Salmon Mignon, it was delicious. Kiddos had the cheesy bread and pizza which was great too!
