Hearsay’s modern take on American cuisine and cocktails combines with the distinct atmosphere and music of the 1930s to create a space that is warm, inviting, and unlike any other in Southern Oregon. Situated just below the beloved Oregon Cabaret Theatre and a three-minute walk from the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Garden seating is based upon availability at the time of your reservation. If requested, and not available we will place you in the dining room or lounge. Please note: pets not allowed in the garden. Thank you!

This is a favorite for the family. The food and ambience are lovely. The serving staff are pleasant and professional. This is a great place to eat for any occasion.

Fantastic surprise. Our first time here. Beef tenderloin and salmon perfectly cooked. Good wine selection. Chocolate crème brûlée and pear almond cream cake were fabulous. Great service and garden setting was a delightful surprise. Will frequent again next time in town.

When we arrived the restaurant was empty and we figured we would have plenty of time for our 5:30 reservation to get to our 8pm show. Well service was so slow we cut it close. Drinks took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and by the end it seemed the wait staff helped us more than our server. Food was good, the pork belly appetizer is fantastic. But not sure if it’s worth the stress

The experience started out with us waiting almost 40 minutes until we had our first glass of wine. But it vastly improved once the people who were going to a show exited. Our server was then very attentive and excellent interactions with her. Food was very, very good with a salad, short ribs and a lemon mouse dessert. It was beautiful sitting out in the garden and very relaxing. Would definitely return when back in Ashland.

Hearsay is one of our favorite restaurants in the Rogue Valley. For the first time this summer our experience did not rate a 10. Food was delicious and well presented. However, it took forever to receiver our starters and even longer to be served the entree.

Such an awesome experience. The 20s/Speakeasy atmosphere set the tone. Service was quick and efficient. Everything we ordered (Soup, Beet Salad, Short Ribs and Prawn Fettucine) was excellent with good, but not oversized portions. Will definitely return!
